1966 Chevrolet C-10 Custom

In case you haven't noticed, vintage trucks are red-hot right now, and those with something extra to offer, trucks like this beautifully restored 1966 Chevrolet C10 Custom pickup for instance, are at the very top of the charts. With a small block V8, gorgeous '60s styling, and traditional colors, it's a workhorse that has learned to dance. The shiny chrome wheels and stance give away that this truck had a modern restoration, of course, but the handsome... red paint job is definitely period correct. It has been applied over some very nicely done bodywork that retains all the dramatic creases and details that make these trucks so iconic. From the wrap-around hood treatment to the simple squared-off tailgate, this is one of the first trucks to make style a priority. Of course, custom details are what set this particular truck apart, including the dark-stained wood bed, the beautifully rendered chrome bumpers, and the shiny stainless trim along the side. The mirrors and most of the trim looks fresh, shining wonderfully up against the contrasting deep red paint. Even the weather-stripping is fresh, suggesting that someone invested big to get this truck looking like this and it pays off in a big way in terms of killing squeaks and rattles inside. Stanced with a slight rake, this C-10 Custom is quite the looker that turns heads everywhere it goes. As pretty as the bodywork is, the interior is every bit as nicely done. The restored bench is finished in tan vinyl upholstery, with matching carpets and door panels that all show little wear. The original instrument panel still has that cool flat pane of glass with all the needles stashed behind it, a cool Art-Deco look that was delivered by the factory. The OE steering wheel does have a few cracks in the usual places but is colored to match the bodywork and this truck was one of the last vehicles to use a traditional horn ring. The dash is painted to match as well, and even though it has a few chips in it here and there, it's bright and clean and houses centralized vents that blow R134a cold air throughout the cab. Other than the upgraded A/C and seatbelts, options are sparse, which is how most of these trucks came from the factory, but if you wanted to upgrade the AM radio to a working modern unit, many new stereos will fit in the factory spot. Simple yet refined, this cab provides comfort worthy of a road trip with unlimited miles. Power comes from a 283 cubic inch V8, and as far as we can tell, it is likely the truck's original block as the casting and suffix code are period-correct. A snorkeled black air cleaner feeds an Edelbrock 600CFM 4-barrel carburetor sitting on top of a matching Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. There are new maintenance items like fresh hoses, fuel pump, and alternator throughout the engine bay and blend nicely with the Chevy Orange paint on the block and valve covers. Satin black inner fenders and firewall provide a great backdrop for the neatly-dressed small block, and further showcase the components this truck is so proud of: A/C, power brakes, and power steering. The undercarriage has been nicely detailed in satin paint as well, just to keep it protected without hiding any detail, and a throaty Flowmaster dual exhaust system gives it just the right sound. Power steering makes it easy to drive and there are upgraded bushings and a sway bar that make this classic truck feel a lot younger than it is. The look is completed by a set of American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels wearing 225/55/17 (front) and 255/50/17 (rear) Kumho performance radials. Documented with restoration photos and service manuals, this nicely restored '66 C-10 Custom is a great truck. Built to be enjoyed and envied, this turn-key pickup lacks nothing other than a new owner. Call today!
