1961 Chevrolet Corvair ONE OF A KIND VINTAGE CAMPER

INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME. PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-803eight WITH ANY QUESTIONS. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD BEFORE BIDDING! THANKS! This is a one of a kind 1961 Chevrolet Corvair Rampside Pickup truck that is now a really cool Airstream look, RV style Camper. We just tell everybody that it's a Vairstream Campside. You will never see another one like it anywhere. I have had plenty of old Hot Rods and Muscle Cars. This little Surf rig gets more attention than anything on the road. If you do not enjoy talking to people or having your picture taken, this is definitely not for you. It just makes everybody smile and you will be the talk of any campground you take it to. It is great for advertising your business just because of the amount of attention it generates. That being said, if you are looking for a 40 foot Diesel Pusher with 18 air conditioners, 12 slideouts, 8 TVs, 6 Popcorn poppers, and all the creature comforts of your living room, THIS IS NOT IT! It resembles a tiny home log cabin inside. It is an original Coleman camper. All of the windows are crank out style so you get a nice breeze when you want but they also have shutters inside for privacy. The front nosepiece folds forward and there is a good amount of storage there. Tow bar mounted to the front.
The interior has a three burner propane stove, fresh water sink with a tank underneath, and refrigerator. It has solar power panels on the roof with two batteries inside. The wood table is a roll up style so it stores away without taking hardly any room. New pots and dishes are included and they also store away to almost nothing. New self inflating bed rolls. The rear hatch opens up and the tailgate folds down so you can back right up to the beach and be oceanfront camping in about two seconds. The stove, sink, and refrigerator are actually on rollers if you want to remove them for extra space. Small Port-a-potty toilet. The plaid covered sides fold up into benches but we always just sit on the pillows. Laptop computer storage area. Screen door.
The body of the truck is solid. It has a few bubbles in front of the passenger side rear wheel. The paint is older but has a perfect amount of patina that just fits the character of the whole truck. The interior is pretty stock. The engine is a later model 100 HP motor. Factory manual transmission. Original radio. The Corvair has been driven all over and starts, runs, and moves right now. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE that the dual carburetors need to be gone through and it currently has the notorious Corvair loose Flywheel vibration that needs to be fixed. You can hear the rattle when you start the truck but it goes away when you push the clutch in. IT NEEDS SOME WORK BEFORE IT CAN BE DRIVEN! I have too many projects right now and I have no time to fix this one.
All in all, this a unique little rig that everybody loves and it just need somebody to give it a little bit of love back. Clean, clear title in hand. My dog Johnny Cash would not be included for all of the money in the world! I am located in San Diego.
