1970 Chevrolet Other Pickups --

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed.Take a close look at this one. It is not your average C/K pickup. This 1970 Chevrolet K20 was subjected to a thorough frame-off, nut and bolt restoration ending in 2016. It received countless upgrades inside and out. Now this type of work is neither cheap nor quick, but it yielded a final product that looks amazing and offers performance well beyond what came... from the factory. This pickup had an interesting upbringing. It was purchased new by the Michigan DNR on March 9, 1970. The original order sheet and Protect-O-Plate are included. It was stationed on Beaver Island in northern Lake Michigan where it was placed on fire duty. It stayed there for nearly 40 years, free of the salty roads on the mainland.Being clean and rust-free made this K20 a great candidate for restoration. The truck was stripped down and received the full treatment. The frame was stripped and epoxy painted. It received a totally new suspension. All new brakes and lines. New power steering. A 2" body lift. And that's just the beginning. The body was also stripped and repainted Speedway Blue with a white cab. This is a show quality paint job over very straight sheetmetal. Again, such work does not come easy or cheap. The bed received new oak flooring and stainless separators along with a polished aluminum fuel tank. All glass, seals, and weatherstripping are new. All exterior trim was replaced including door handles, mirrors, moldings, vent window frames, and emblems. There is a new front grille, bumper, and headlight bezels. The rear received a custom taillight arrangement along with a heavy duty towing eye that is tied into the frame. And then there is the driveline. The truck received a fresh 454ci big block rated at 425hp. This is a high performance engine with 4-bolt main bearing caps, domed pistons, and loads of torque. It sounds awesome; just what you'd expect from such a setup. The Muncie SM465 4-speed transmission was completely rebuilt and converted to a hydraulic clutch. The front axle is a Dana 60 with a factory limited slip differential, while the rear is a 14-bolt with a Detroit Locker. Gear ratios are 4.10.The interior was completely redone as well. Any metal was painted to match the exterior. There is a custom upholstered bench seat with matching door panels. The door handles and window cranks are billet pieces. There is a new padded dashboard and a new headliner. The steering column was replaced with a tilt setup from Ididit. The instrument cluster was redone with new bezels and a new face plate along with three aftermarket gauges. There is an EGI tachometer as well along with a modern sound system. The cab also has Dynamat insulation throughout. There is more! A new radiator with dual electric fans. Dual multi-rib drive belts. New Optima battery and dual exhaust. Upgraded sway bars. Painless wiring harness. Brake controller. Halogen headlights and an LED backup light. LED side markers. New door strikers and locks. New box gate chains. BF Goodrich LT285/75R16 tires along with Rancho shocks. The list goes on and on.This really is a beautiful truck that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Everything is new or reconditioned. It looks amazing but is also a rugged 3/4-ton 4x4 with excellent towing capability. Further it is remarkably comfortable and easy to drive. You will find plenty of classic trucks on the market but not many that stack up to this K20.
