1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups 5 window telephone truck

For sale here I have a solid and rare patina 1st series 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Bell telephone truck barn find. The truck is one family owned for the last 50 years. Visit www.bellofthebarn.shutterfly.com to view over 190 photos of the truck. I like buyers to know exactly what they are getting. The truck has a clear non highway title due to lack of tag and insurance on it. If you need me to get the non highway notation off of the title I should be able to do that. This truck would make a killer patina shop truck, worn original driver or a great restoration project. Google 1954 or 1955 Chevrolet Bell telephone truck to view restored models of this style truck. The truck is very solid overall but does have some bumps and bruises from use over the years. The 235 seems to be stuck from sitting but I haven't put a socket on it to make sure. I will revise the listing when I'm certain on the engine. The truck was last tagged in 1975. The truck started out life as a speed on the column but was converted to 4 speed on the floor years ago. The Bell telephone bed is in worse shape than the rest of the truck due to being stored outside in the past. The previous owner didn't realize the top of the bed was thin sheetmetal over plywood and the moisture rotted through and caused some rust inside the bed. I have most if not all of the drawers for the bed but some will need repair if you plan to use them. The bedhas it's original manufacturer's plate attached to the PS down low near the cab corner of the truck. All of the king bee reflectors are present on the bed but the ladder rack is missing. The utility rear bumper is present and all compartments open and close like they should. The truck itself is quite solid and missing very little. The things that know are missing is the antenna, radio, ash tray and mirrors. The truck also has mismatched hubcaps on it. Starting at the front the grille isn't in bad shape but does have some minor dents in the nose. The front valance, bumper and hood are all extremely nice. Both front fenders have dents with the driver side showing where someone had hammered out the back half. The cowls on the truck are perfect with no rust or creases. The doors are also solid and straight all around. Both rockers are good and solid. The kick panels did have some minor rust and someone screwed some heavier metal over the top and under coated in the fender wells. The floors are very good but there are some light pinholes in the PS near the battery box. I have the battery hold down and box lid that are not pictured unless you view the shutterfly album. The DS cab corner has 1 small spot of rust and the PS is perfect. The running boards have been cut and the diamond plate put over the top. The firewall has zero rot with original paint present. Someone has caulked the cowl vent shut years ago. There is no rust around the windows, in the beltline or on the roof. All of the glass is in the truck and would work great for a patina truck but its old and has some issues. The doors and hood open, close and latch like they should. All good buyers are welcome and the truck is selling with no reserve. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
