1981 Chevrolet G20 Van G10

1981 CHEVROLET G10 VAN. SHORT WHEEL BASE. I purchased this van just over 4 years ago. My initial intentions were to use it as a promotional vehicle for a business I was starting. I ended up building two of them and I sold the other one in 2017. Its been a lot of fun and I really like how it turned out. Time to let someone else enjoy it.
1981 G10 Van with the front end of a 71'-77'. I changed out the grill and bumpers etc to give it the more vintage look. I think it turned out well. I spent nearly $2k on the Grill, Bumpers and Plating. I had the van painted Skyline Blue that was a factory color in the 70's. In addition, I had a gallon of Por15 that I had left over from a restoration that I had recently completely on my 54' F100. I used it on the undercarriage and wheel wheels--even though this van has been in a dry climate for its whole life. The paint is probably a 7. It looks really nice, but it does have some blemishes, runs, and chips(I've touched up). I only spent $3k on the paint so that what you get---I was planning on wrapping the majority of it. If you want a show quality van--this in not it.
I replaced the window weather stripping throughout and also the interior carpeting. The panelling was redone to a newer style. I added some wood trim pieces that I found at some junkyards. Additionally, I added about 8 interior lights and control/toggle box so the new owner can add lots of more items. The panelling was insulated.
The wheels and tires have less than 200 miles on them. I sent the van out to California Wheel & Tire to have front drop spindles put on and a spring or two taken off the back to give in nicer stance. The Wheels are 17" Torq Thrust II's in Chrome(not Polished). Tires are Kuhmo Solus 245/50/17's. The package looks great. I'm probably in the drop, wheels & tires another $2K or so. Well worth the money.
The Van has lots of factory options. THIS IS NOT A V8. That being said, my 75' was a V8. This one has much better driving mannerisms. Its a smoother ride and the power steering and front power disc brakes makes for a better driving experience. The Van is has a 3 Speed auto transmission, V6(4.1L), Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, AC, CD, Side Slider, Heavy Duty Suspension, Rear Pop-Out Windows. The van drives Great. It always starts right up and cruises 70 MPH on freeway.
The odometer reads 70300 miles. It could be 170K, but use of CARFAX and some basic math--the van has been driven 37K miles in last 26 years. Its not out of the realm of possibility that it was driven only 32K miles in the first 25 years. Either way, I don't care--its not a beat up POS.
Items that previous owner replaced just before I bought were 1)power steering pump & fluid 2)trans filter kit & fluid 3)valve cover gaskets 4)power steering pressure line 5) Lube, Oil and Filter 6) replace front brake pads 7) adjust rear brakes 8)repack bearings 9) replace master cylinder. This was done just over 2K miles ago to the tune of $1700 (I have the receipt). I have changed the cap and rotor, plugs and wires. The Ac worked perfectly when I purchased the van. Since I've owned it, I have not recharged it. It needs servicing.
I encourage all prospective buyers to come and see the Van in person prior to bidding. The Van is sold As Is, Where Is. Please do not bid if you have no intention of purchasing. I will not ship to foreign countries (Unless your transport company makes contact with me before the auction end). If you have LESS than 10 FEEDBACK and haven't emailed me prior to bidding, I will remove your bid. I will make every effort to assist you in the shipping, pickup of the Van. I can meet your agent. I will not deliver however.
Please check my feedback. I have sold a dozen or so classics over the years on Ebay. I have sold others where a deal was reached before auction end--so that can be done as well.

This is my Rendition of the Mystery Machine. I was just going to wrap the bottom of the van.
