1978 Corvette Pace Car, L82, #840, 4-Speed, SUPER RARE, 72K

Absolutely gorgeous driver, mostly factory original, collectible Corvette. Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt-Telescoping Steering, Air-Conditioning(Cold), Power Locks, Power Windows, Rear Defrost, AM-FM Stereo. Newer Delco brake calipers around with newer slotted rotors. Brand new exhaust(duals) 2 ¼" front to back with Turbo mufflers. Tires are in great shape. Brand New Air Compressor, entire system cleaned out and converted to R134. New A/C Vacuum switch. All gauges except for Tach work(intermittent), dash lights work, head lamps work up/down no issues. Wipers work. New Horn kit and horn works. Recent E-brake adjustment 01/18/19. Brakes are solid, car drives great and straight.A/C works cold and heater works too. Glass, Mirrored T-Tops. Carpet is in great shape with no holes in it, just slightly faded in front vs back. Leather is in great condition showing very little age and NO rips or tears. Brand New Fuel pump just installed. Please note, waiting for passenger side valve cover grommet for breather tube to arrive to install.


The paint is absolutely gorgeous and is as glossy as it can get. Very few paint flaws overall, most all visible in pics. Red stripes on wheels are faded but have left those alone.

The L82 350 Cu. In. V8. This engine features a higher lift camshaft, special cylinder heads with larger valving, impact-extruded pistons and a forged crankshaft with 4-bolt main bearing caps, plus finned aluminum rocker arm covers.

Close-ratio, 4-Speed manual gearbox with gearing designed for the numerous up-and-down shifts associated with Corvette driving demands. Fully synchronized with a 2.43-to-1 first gear ratio.
