1976 Chevrolet Corvette L-48

Up for auction is my 1976 Chevy Corvette Stingray - I picked this up from a friend who needed some extra cash. Here is the story I was told; My friend bought this car from an older gentleman down in South Florida, he said he owned it for years and loved the car but didn't drive it enough so he wanted to use the car at Sebring Raceway. He took it to a Corvette specialist down by him and had them go over the whole car so he could do road racing (car still has Sebring paddock pass stickers on window);
1) New engine and transmission2) Complete suspension upgrade3) AC Deleted4) Racing Seats Installed5) Upgraded radiator with electric fans (Car runs very cool - I have sat in traffic standstill for 45 mins and never over-heated)6) High performance exhaust (hooker headers and side pipes).7) Upgraded brakes
He then raced on a few local events but didn't have time anymore for it so he sold it to my friend. The car came with 2 boxes full of old parts, new old stock parts, documents, papers and much more (I will include all of this for the winner of auction). I will admit I don't know a ton about C3's so I am not sure on all the specifics done to the car, I can just tell you it is a lot of fun to drive and very reliable. I have taken the car on two long distance trips with no issues at all.
My friend had the car painted black shortly before I bought it (done at Maaco), car was originally red. 3 Months ago I had the spark plugs, wires, air filter, transmission fluid, oil (used correct year high zinc oil only in it) and timing done for full tune up. Car is running great after this! I will be up-front this car is no show-ready Corvette, it will need some small things here and there such as carb tune, alignment, the exhaust has a leak in it (just not sure where), headlights work but sometimes the passenger side seems to stick in down position, Oil pressure gauge is stuck, and radio does not work (its there and comes on, just no sound).
Here is a list of some of the items I know it has on it and additional details:
1) New Tires (less than 6 months old)2) New Carpet3) Corbeau Racing Seats4) Racing Harness Seatbelts5) New custom made floor mats (lloyds)6) New door panels7) Fuel Cell in back (fill through LeMans filler cap on back of car)8) Electric windows (working)9) New dash mat cover (under it the dash has some small cracks)10) All gauges and lights inside work with the exception of the Oil Pressure sticking (may be the sender)11) New Battery12) New Grant GT Wood Steering wheel13) T-Tops are included and work great.14) Custom heat shields for the side exhaust pipes15) Car has 24K Miles on the odometer, I was told this was original miles by previous owner.16) New door sill plates17) Hood has hood pin setup
If you have any specific questions on the car or want to come see it in person let me know. The car runs and drives great, I take it out almost every weekend and its a blast. It will need some work to be perfect, but that is the fun part of owning these cars. If you win and are out of state I can assist in transporting it but it will be at your cost. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY!!!! Car is sold as-is due to its age.
Good Luck!!!
