1967 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Super Sport
Here is your chance to own an extremely desirable two year only Chevy II Nova V8 Super Sport. The highlights:
Pros:
> 118 is a V8 Chevy II Nova Super Sport 2 door coupe, produced 2nd week of October 1967 in Willow Run Michigan.> The 66 & 67 Chevy II Nova Super Sports are increasing in value> Cowl tag options for this SS include, Mountain Green exterior paint, M35 Powerglide 2 speed automatic, rear antenna, Deluxe seatbelts (front are retractable), SS center console, dash panel clock, black interior sheet metal, black bucket seats> Per the Cowl Tag this SS is an automatic (Powerglide included with car but needs to be rebuilt & needs a Converter)> Car sits on new tires & 4 original Nova 14" steel wheels with original SS wheel covers.> All glass except windshield is in good shape, large chip on windshield> Car was primered to prevent rust, sheet metal is in decent shape.> All SS badges are new with the exception of the hard to find original SS rear trunk molding (paint has faded on this piece).> Front bucket seats have 1967 safety latch but are from another vehicle, you will need to buy & install seat tracks. Seats are not affixed to the floor.> Front & rear seats need to be reupholstered, they are the cool black with white stripe SS versions.> This Chevy II comes with a 1965 327 that needs to be assembled/rebuilt, it is currently .030, this is not a recessed oil filter block & is not original to this Nova:> Engine Application Code = F0812HC (Flint, MI, August 2nd, 275 HP for Powerglide, 4 Barrel Carb), Block casting 3782870 August 7, 1964, Camel hump heads 3782461 (1.94/1.50), Edelbrock C3BX (modeled after the 490 L79 intake), 4 Barrel Holley 750 CFM,Pertronix Flamethrower II distributor, GM steel small journal crank, used .030 L2166N TRW 11:1 forged pistons, GM forged rods, ARP rod bolts with rams horn cast iron exhaust manifolds with new V8 motor mounts.> This Nova has a non Posi 10 bolt (BA = 3.08 gears), few 67 SS Nova's had 12 bolts.> HOWEVER you ALSOget a 1966 Chevy II 12 Bolt FL code empty housing (no gears or Posi included) GM FL code (3.55 gear Eaton Posi) with Moser 33 spline race axles and spool, this rear end has been modified with a C clip eliminator kit, mono leaf perches are missing, some drum brake components included (see picture).> The 67 Chevy II Nova SS are less abundant (about 21K 1966 Chevy II SS produced) as the introduction of the 1st ever 1967 Camaro cut into salesresulting in only about 10K 67 Nova Super Sports produced, and of those 10K about 7-8K came with a V8.> Clear Texas bonded title (in TX once this car passes inspection a clear title will be issued to the new owner)
Cons:
> Although the overall sheet metal is in decent condition, there are several rust spots that need to be fixed, included are sheet metal patches for the area under the VIN plate and on the passenger door area (see pictures)A previous owner attempted metal repair including:> Quarters; but the quality is poor so both rear quarters need replacing.> Floors partially replaced but poorly welded so plan to replace all floor metal.> Trunk was replaced and rust is present around weather strip channel, a trunk pan will be needed.> The A pillars (windshield) need small patches.> Metal work needed to fix rust holes around rear window (above quarters).> Front driver's side fender is from a Nova 100 and needs to be replaced.> Front hood trim needed.> All trim needs attention, partial trim needed for rear window.> Shocks needed all around.> You need to rebuild the 327, Powerglide & 12 Bolt Posi
This 67 SS needs work but worth it with 1967 Nova SS prices continuing to rise. Remember only about 7-8K V8 SS 67s were produced so its a solid investment. My reserve is $12.7, good luck & please ask any questions you may have.
