Description:

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle

I am the third owner of this 1969 Chevelle SS 396/325 HP L35 with TH400 Transmission. It was a single owner Tennessee car for majority of its life and then moved to Arizona in 1997 where the car underwent a ground up restoration and rebuild (including engine and transmission) at about 60000 miles.I have all receipts from the rebuild. I purchased the car over 10 years ago and have really enjoyed driving and maintaining it entering it into auto shows parades and other special events through the years.

Overall the car is nearly perfect. The drive train components (engine heads intake and exhaust manifolds automatic transmission drive shaft and 12 bolt differential) are all original to the car. Photos are provided showing the correct serial number (T3955272) and VIN code (A307416) stamped on the engine block and correctly coded transmission C-69-243 with the 1A307416 VIN stamp. The rear differential code CX 1028B is code and date correct and matches the car’s protect-o-plate.

The body and paint (correct 65 65 Olympic Gold) are nearly perfect. All quarter panels are original. All glass appears to be original. Over the course of ownership there have been a couple of small chips in the paint as well as a very small dent on the hood. These are shown in the photos.

This car is fully documented. The buyer will receive the car's original window sticker Protect-O-Plate (still attached to the GM warranty card) the original build sheet all receipts from the 1997 restoration original 1968 bill of sale and a copy of the original title.

If you want to purchase an investment grade Chevelle SS demand proof that the entire drive train is original to the car. Drive train components contain manufacturing dates and codes that will tell you whether the components are correct for the car. The component manufacture dates must be reasonably close to yet prior to the car’s date of final assembly shown on the trim tag. A properly “matching” 1969 Chevelle SS engine block and transmission will have the car’s VIN number stamped on them. I highly recommend that prospective buyers purchase the book “Chevrolet by the Numbers” by Alan L Colvin. This book is the gold standard when it comes to giving the reader valuable information on spotting fakes and properly validating an automobile’s value prior to purchase. This Chevelle SS will come with a copy of the book providing component numbers and dates cross referenced to the car.
