You will find very few Apache Fleetside 3600s in such good condition. Straight, olid, rofessionally prepped and painted. After having it awhile I decided to keep the original drive train, asy to work on and it is “only original once.” Current, egal driver, lear Title. HISTORY: The 3600 was the largest of the Chevrolet Task Force light duty trucks. VIN shows built at Los Angeles plant. Saw service in southern California. As a work truck she was well maintained not abused. Most of these 3600s are long gone but this lucky truck retired from work, as garaged and kept running. I purchased in 2012 brought to the Midwest, ade upgrades and enjoy it as a Driver. She’s having a glamorous retirement, ast photo is Feb 2015 auto show, st place for nostalgia trucks.
MOTOR appears unopened original 235 stovebolt runs smooth no smoke, inor oil drip as typical. Actual mileage unknown as odometer was disconnected when I got her, stimate 95K. Good brakes, ooling system works correctly, anual choke carburetor rebuilt 2013, il bath air cleaner serviced 2015. Four speed on floor with granny. Orig steering gearbox without excess play. Floor starter. Orig 4.57:1 differential, considered changing but it’s fine for my in-town cruising. Coker 16" wide whites, ebuilt generator, ew Port Electric Wipers, ew Wiring Harness 2014.
BODY AND FRAME Professional body prep and 2 stage paint 2012. 1959 chevy color tartan turquoise. Roof, pears and grille are gloss, ody is satin, ives a nice look. It’s a driver now the paint has some wear, mall nicks scratches that don’t show in photos. Correct emblems, leetside emblems on side rails re-plated. Doors hang straight, lose evenly, ewer regulators, atches/strike plates, andles. Newer rubber all window door gaskets. All glass good, riginal windshield scratch no cracks. Long bed, rofessionally sprayed liner on side rails, ak floor installed 2013, ight weathering very presentable. Original work truck tail gate new latches. Back bumper is aftermarket with license plate light. Frame nice only surface rust see photo.
INTERIOR dash professionally blasted & painted, adio delete, ew Gauge Cluster, peedo needs calibrated. Turn signal non-cancelling type. Accessories: Vintage aftermarket heater, ackup Spotlight, ome light, oolbox under seat. Door interiors ok but small scratches from side glass replacement. Ceiling painted. Driver side interior visor. Seat bottom maybe original, eatback is turquoise Mexican blanket. 2 Seat belts.
NO WARRANTY. Truck is for auction as-is, here-is. This is a 55+ year old truck, queeks, attles are normal. Known issues: horn works but mechanical horn ring is balky. Loud aftermarket horn installed original horn included. Driver floor pan has a 2" patch due to a few pinholes. Only other known corrosion 2" area inside left front wheel well, ever saw need to fix. Trans area rattles but no known trouble, ound has not changed in my years of ownership. Dif has slight drip, ftermarket gear shift knob rattles. After market rubber floor mat with jute pad is adequate.
SAFETY: An old 3/4T truck does not steer, ccelerate, rake or respond like a modern vehicle. Requires 2 hands, feet and driver attention. Please understand this vehicle has antique work truck handling characteristics.
SHIPPING & TRANSPORT: You cannot drive this truck home. Tranny and rear end make power not speed. Shipping is the purchaser’s sole responsibility. I will assist loading but due to work schedule need transporter’s specific pickup time.
STORAGE: I will store the truck outdoors covered for 30 days free after purchase at the buyer’s risk. Upon purchase buyer is legal owner and is liable for All Hazards so insurance recommended. Storage location blocks-in other vehicles and purchaser acknowledges and permits that truck will be shuffled as required. Unless other arrangements are made, fter 30 days a $25.00 per day storage charge applies, ue upon release of truck.
