1969 Chevrolet Chevelle True Super Sport Black on Black with an M-22 Rockcrusher 4-speed Super Car selling at "No Reserve"! Doesn't every red blooded American Male want a Chevelle Super Sport with a 427 4-speed? You must be a veryexperienced muscle cardriverto handlethe brute force of a Big Block 427 or don'tbother toread any further. This vehicle is not for the faint of heart! 1969 was the start of the pinnacle of the muscle car era. A Black on Black True Super Sport in this condition is nearly impossible to find these days with a 427 and a 4-speed. This sweet specimen was completely frame-off restored with no expense spared.
This Big Block 427 engine was freshly rebuilt from top to bottom with all the paperwork involved with the rebuild. The M-22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission was completely freshly rebuilt. This beast has a 12-bolt 3.91 posi-traction rear-end. The 825 Holley double pumper carburetor is brand new and was mounted on top of a new high performance Edelbrock Aluminum Intake Manifold when the engine was installed. There has been less than 500 miles put on this beast since the frame-off restoration. There is an expensive new 4-core aluminum radiator for maximum cooling with new upper and lower radiator hoses. There is all new anti-freeze, and the engine has a fresh oil change with a new oil filter. The engine was nicely detailed before it was mounted in place. This Big Block 427 has all new spark plugs, and all new high performance wires for maximum spark. This enginehas electronic ignition for easy starting. It fires right up and sounds awesome with new headers and upgraded 2 1/2" inch pipes with the H-pipe for maximum exhaust flow. This monster starts right up and runs wonderfully. It really does sound incredible with dual flowmasters, and the correct 1969 Super Sport chrome exhaust tips.
There are brand new front disc brakes and brand new rear drum brakes. Brand new power brake booster, brand new master cylinder, and proportioning valve with all new brake lines. Also worth mentioning is a brand new water pump and a brand new fuel pump. This sweet ride runs, drives, and looks like new. All set for many years of pleasure cruising! The new owner is sure to be the envy of the neighborhood and the pride of the local car shows. Needless to say this is a super duper fast fast muscle car. As the old saying goes this baby is for show or go!
The body was in really good condition to start with, and the mileage is believed to be original at just over 54,000. The floors, trunk floor, and the frame were all sand blasted and coated with POR-15.The rear tail panel was replaced with a brand new panel, and brand new trim. The hood is a genuine GM steel framed cowl hood not a fiberglass replacement. The chrome vents on the hood are brand new. All of the gaskets, window felts, the complete grille assembly are all new.
The bodywas meticulously prepped for paint. After the body was primed and sanded and re-sanded and primer sealed the stripes were applied and then the body was painted with a full gallon of basecoat followed byfour coats of the most expensive clear coat I could find. The body was then wet sanded at three different levels of 1000, 1500, and 2500 grit, and then buffed to bring out the mirror shine as evident by the pictures. This body is laser straight!!! I've been told by everyone who sees this car, that the paint work on this Super Sport looks spectacular. There will be endless compliments coming to whoever is the lucky winner of this rare classic. It was very hard to keep people away while I was just trying to shoot the pictures.
There are brand new front and rear bumpers. A brand new set of wheel opening moldings. There are a brand new pair off chrome outside door handles and door locks on the doors with a new trunk lock in the trunk lid. They were all key coded and all match the same key. The firewall access vents and the hood stops along with the hood grommets are brand new. The doors have new rubber gaskets, and a pair of brand new chrome sport mirrors. These doors open and close like a brand new car. The dash pad was in nice condition, but virtually everything else in the interior is brand spanking new. The black carpeting is new with the extra padding, and a set of four new black carpeted floor mats sit on top of the new carpet. The interior door panels and side panels are also brand new chrome door handles, and a set of four new window cranks. All four windows roll up and down nicely. The entire interior really appears in super nice condition as shown in the pictures. This Chevelle sits on a full set of four brand new expensive Firestone Wide Oval polyester raised white lettered tires mounted on brand new 15" inch ChevroletSportwheels with all four new bolt on center caps, and all four new beauty trim rings to allow this gem to appear just the way it would have rolled out of the factory onto the showroom floor back in 1969. All the way down to the set of four new T-3 headlights and bright lights.
The trunk was coated with GM A/C Delco black and aqua spatter spray to make it appear factory correct. There is a nicely detailed original 1969 Chevelle jack, jack stand,and crow bar with a full size spare tire. This way if there is ever a mishap on the rode, you know you have the proper jack, so you can be back on the road in minutes looking complete.
This Super Sport is being sold with an open, clean, and clear title in my name issued in the State of Wisconsin. I can't think of any part on this complete frame off restoration that is not brand spanking new, freshly rebuilt, or restored to the highest level I possibly could. Although the badging reads 396 I felt the Big Block 427 was a fantastic upgrade to make the work of art that appears in this auction. I can't see any winning bidder not being extremely happy with their new pride and joy!
