1934 Chevrolet Other Coupe

One of the nice things about these old coupes is that they are definitely part of the Street Rod scene with their old school looks and appeal, but are also really comfortable vehicles to travel in with things like A/C, a stereo, and plenty of room in the trunk too. You can cruise the boulevard on a Friday night, or cruise off on a big adventure. This one is a nice build offering the best of both worlds. ... This car was built up starting with an all steel body and fenders. Those are getting hard to find these days. That's true old school and gives the car feel very solid feel. It's a really well executed older build painted gloss Black and has nice body lines that show well, but the paint is showing its age a bit and a good buff would help bring back the original luster. The running boards are fiberglass with a rubber step surface. But the classic good looks of the '34 shine through with the narrow center hinged hood that you can put up from either side, or both at the same time, and those separate steel fenders with stand-alone headlights trimmed in chrome perched on them look awesome. The tall vertical grill is topped by fantastic hood ornament and underlined by a nice chrome bumper. The car sits on Boyds billet wheels that complete the picture nicely. Open the door and you will find a really sharp looking interior finished out in Black and Red and Wood. There is a custom door panel with a Chevy bowtie embossed into it, power windows and a speaker at the front. Red seats have pleated centers with smooth edging and bolsters that provide nice comfortable support. The red vinyl continues up and around the inside of the cab with chrome trimming out the windows along with a red headliner. Have a seat and check out that beautiful wooden steering wheel with chrome spokes. It's a work of art in itself! But behind it the gorgeous wood continues on the dash. There is an overarching "eyebrow" of wood with an oval wooden insert containing the white faced Autometer gauges in front of the driver matched by an oval glove box on the right. Vintage Air controls are located in the center and that A/C blows nice and cold! The lower wooden panel houses the Jensen stereo for you listening pleasure and its all underlined by red carpeting. Under that piano hinged hood you will find a neat and clean engine bay with a 350 cubic inch powerplant. It is dressed out nicely in lots of chrome starting with the air filter housing and working down from there. Lots of hard lines are used for the fuel, air conditioning and coolant system replacing black rubber lines and adding their splash of flash. Chrome valve covers shine brightly right in the center of the picture with the hood opened on both sides, and billet accents include the plug wire tracks covering the 8mm Taylor spark plug wires. The coolant overflow tank as well as the A/C drier, alternator, and power steering pump are all chromed and the polished headers look great as they curve and dive under the car. Rack and pinion steering with disc brakes and coil springs in the front work well with a solid axle on leaf springs in the rear providing a really nice ride and great handling. The rubber meets the road through 215/65R15s in the rear and 195/70R14s in the front. A street rod for cruising the boulevard or the back roads. Come on down and check it out. You may decide to throw some things in the trunk and head out for some adventures.
