This very nice 1969 SS 396 Malibu edition with the Z25 SS396 package which included: 325-hp Turbo-Jet engine, front disc brakes, 3 speed transmission, dual chambered exhaust, black painted grill and rear panel, molding package, and 14" x 7" sport wheels. Other factory options: Shoulder belts, Am/FM radio, black vinyl roof cover, Turbo Hydro-Matic transmission, Electric clock, Outside remote driver side mirror, sport-styled steering wheel, accent stripes, air conditioning and Rochester four-barrel Quadra-Jet carburetor.We have owned this car for the past 19 years. This has been a show car and treated as such, winning several events in the New England area. When not driven it's garaged and covered and has been since day 1 of owning. She has never seen snow or bad weather since it has been ours.The Good: All matching numbers; Mechanical Excellent - runs fantastic and sounds even better; interior is near perfect (a few seat scratches on drivers' side and needs a driver's side window crank handle -which may be already replaced by the time this is read as this happened a few days ago). The odometer shows 36K, it's actual milliage is 136K but the engine was pulled and rebuilt by a professional at 109K. Several wear parts have been replaced since owned, all with GM certified parts, including: ball joints, tie rods, A frame bushings and breaks, front and rear shocks and springs, all bushings, fuel tank and sender unit, door and window rubbers and felts, head liner, carpet and dash bezel.What it needs: As great as this car is, it does need a few things to be a perfect show car. The Black vinyl top is starting to show its age. I do have an original equipment replacement that will go with the car for the next family to install if they choose. The paint is also showing its age. It's what I like to call a 10-foot paint job - if you are standing a few feet away it looks amazing...but get close and you start seeing some of the pings and age - and I have close up pictures available upon request. Some of the chrome molding needs to be replaced.This car has been loved and well maintained and taken care of. It is a fun car to drive, sounds of pure Chevy Muscle and gets looks wherever I go - I can't stop anywhere without someone coming up to talk to me.With a full price offer you will also get an additonal tire and rim set - it is the "show" set with original spec rims and F70-14 raised letter tires that are era specefic.Please let me know if you have any questions.
