Description:

1965 Chevrolet Nova 400

Up for sale is my 1965 Chevy II Nova project carThe good;250 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine from a 1979 Camaro that has been fitted with the original 194 cylinder head & mated to the original 3 speed transmission. It starts & runs well, pulls good in all 3 gears.
Has a freshly rebuilt carburetor. The original drum brakes are in good working order. The front brakes have new shoes & hardware plus a new master cylinder has been fitted. The interior is actually pretty decent with good bit of staining & wear. I do not believe the interior is all original but it is old enough to need restoration for a show car but acceptable to use for a driver or rat rod.The passenger compartment floor pan & the rocker panels appear to be mostly solid with only a few small spots of rust in them. The fuel tank, sending unit, rubber fuel hoses up to the fuel pump etc. are new,The original jack, lug wrench & hold downs are in the trunk along with the original hood center trim.
The bad:Every exterior panel except for the roof has some rust through. The left side is worse than the right side. The hood is badly rusted & would need to be replaced for anything more than a rat rod Please see all pictures and be sure you understand the condition of this car before bidding it is be sold "as is"Although the passenger compartment floor pans are not too bad the same cannot be said of the trunk. The trunk floor & the weatherstrip channel around the trunk opening will need rust repair. All weather stripping must be replacedThe electrical system needs to be gone through the brake light comes on and the turn signals work intermittently. The wiper switch is missing and the headlights are not working at this time. The odometer reads approximately 77000 miles I am sure it has been rolled over at least one time & possibly more.
This is a project car, it runs, drives & stops but you will need to bring a trailer or rollback to pick it up because without the electrical items being repaired and the old tires being replaced it is not safe to drive on the highway. A non refundable $500 dollar deposit is required via Paypal within 48 hours of the auction closing. Balance is due within 10 days either by certified cashiers check or cash in person. I can store the car in my garage up to 30 days for you to arrange pick up but payment in full is required within the 10 day period. Again this is a 53 year old barn find project car. You are buying it strictly as is, knowing that it needs thousands of dollars in repairs and that there is no warranty of any kind express or implied.
