We're putting up for sale our 1991 Chevy Corvette. It has 57,xxx miles on it as of this posting, has an automatic transmission, leather interior, all power options including power seats and a removable roof. The car is beautiful, but impractical for our family at this time, having a young child. We'd like to keep this Corvette, but with only 2 seats and three family members, it's rarely driven. One day we will buy another. ***There is no rush for us to sell this car- we will wait for the right buyer and simply enjoy driving it when we can in the meantime*** We have all service records from the time it was new as well as a Carfax report we can send to a prospective owner.
The paint is original, is in great shape, has been buffed and polished and waxed as well and doesn't look at all like a 26 year old paint job.
Speaking of the age of the car, it is eligible in many states to be registered as an Historic vehicle with lower insurance and registration costs. You should check with your own state, but here in NY it is considered Historic.
The interior is in great shape, showing only minor wear on the drivers side leather seat lower outer bolster.
The stereo buttons no longer respond as new, I was going to install a new radio but didn't get around to it and I like to listen to the engine anyway. The hvac panel needs to be serviced, the buttons sometimes do not respond. I'm told these small issues are typical for a Corvette of this vintage and are not expensive to fix (*see videos below for a better look at the car inside and out*). We simply enjoy the ca, which is driven only in the good weather (sunny, no rain).
The flip up headlights and foglights work perfectly.
The car has new brakes, tires, battery, tune up (spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor as well as spark plug wires), 8 new fuel injectors and fuel pump and some other wear items replaced and was recently inspected in NY state.
It's a lot of fun to cruise in this car with the roof off and it definitely turns heads! It's hard to choose in the summertime between the ice cold AC and having the roof off and listening to the engine.
Speaking of which, the engine is the fabled L98 350 Chevy, which sounds amazing and delivers the Corvette experience with every stab of the gas pedal.
