Description:

1968 Chevrolet Impala

This Is A 1968 4-door Chevy Impala With It's Original 327 Engine And 2-Speed Powerglide Transmission. The Engine And Transmission Function Exactly As They Should With No Leaks Or Other Issues. I Have All Proper Documents For This Car. This Car Is In Unbelievable Condition Considering It's Age. When I Bought This Car, It Was Already In Very Good Condition. However, I Have Spent A Substantial Amount Of Money Into The Professional Upgrades That I Have Done. It Would Not Take Much To Make This A Showroom Piece. This Car Has Never Been Wrecked And Has No Dents, No Dings, And No Broken Windows. This Car Starts And Drives Just As Well As Any New Car And In My Opinion It Sounds Even Better Than Most New Cars. The Engine Idle Is Smooth Yet Very Powerful With Absolutely No Ticks Or Knocking Of Any Kind. I Have Driven This Car Sparingly Because I Have A Large Selection Of Other Vehicles For Daily Driving. Also, I Have Certified This Car As Antique With My State Of Tennessee Therefore I Am Only Permitted To Drive This Car On Weekends Or To Car Shows. This Car Is Not Rusty (Only Very Slight Surface Rust That Can Mainly Be Seen On The Hood Area). There Is Absolutely No Body Damage And This Car Has Never Been Wrecked. The Paint On This Car Is Original, But Actually Not That Bad Considering The Age Of This Car. Contrary To The Images That I Have Provided, This Car Will Shine Really Well, Especially In Those Areas Where The Paint Is Not Fading. I Have Had Professionally Installed A New Chrome Radiator, Chrome Radiator Hose, Chrome Valve Covers, Chrome Headers, Chrome Alternator, Chrome Edelbrock Air Cleaner, And Chrome Edelbrock Carburetor. However, I Still Have The Original Carburetor And Some Other Parts In The Trunk And Will Be Included. I Have Had All Of The Leather Seats And Carpet Professionally Redone As Well Therefore The Carpet And Seats Are In Brand New Condition. All Gauges On The Dashboard Function Properly. This Car Has Drum Brakes All Around. The Floor Pans Have Been Professionally Replaced With Brand New Ones. These Repairs And Replacements Were Done Professionally With No Shortcuts. This Car Looks Just As Good Underneath As It Does Inside. The Trunk Is In Great Condition And Just Needs Cleaned Out A Little. The Hood Is Slightly Up On One Of The Pictures Above But It Will Go All The Way Down. The Heater Works In This Car And The Air Condition Will Work But It Only Needs A Clutch. The Odometer Works. When I Bought This Car The Mileage Was Only About 43,000. The Mileage On The Odometer Is Only 46,000. The Only Problems With This Car Are All Very Minor, Such As When I Park I Have To Make Sure It Is In Park Good Because It Will Roll If It Is Not. I Usually Just Set The Emergency Brake To Be Safe. Also, The Driver Side Window Will Get Off Track Sometimes. Obviously I Was Planning A Full Restoration, But I Will Be Satisfied Knowing That Can Finish What I Started And Take Care Of It As Good As I Have. I Doubt Very Seriously If Anyone Will Ever Find Another Original Car Of This Era In This Condition For This Starting Price Because It Is Definitely A Rare Gem. Note: I Will Include Any And All Original Parts That I Still Have From This Car With The Purchase. I Have Tried To Include Everything That I Can Think Of In This Description. However, I Welcome Any And All Questions. Thanks!
