1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups

1950 Chevrolet 3800 hay truck barn find, parked since 1976. 1 owner. I found this truck in a barn where the farm was being demolished to make more room for planting. It was last ran in 1976 but was somewhat winterized before doing so. The farmer had it brought up into town 13 years ago just to get it running again and it has sat since. Fast forward to last weekend. The fuel tank was drained before parking so it made it pretty easy. We were able to drain anything that was left through a petcock below the tank and fill with fresh fuel. We cleaned the points, and within a few turns it was running like a top. We bled the brakes and they are solid and at the very top. It is 99% rust free with the exception of 3 areas. The chevy emblem on the front of the hood, the drivers lower cab corner has a area about the size of a silver dollar, and the passenger cab floor has a very small area by your right foot on the panel. The underside has no rust at all. Not on the body or the flatbed. pictures will show everything. The interior needs totally redone as the mice have done their thing. Rear tires are new 42 years ago ( co-op) tires, and the fronts are weather cracked and need replaced but do hold air. The engine runs smooth, no oil burning, tranny and clutch work great also. Clutch seems to be newer for the time period. All the gauges work, a couple of the lights are burned out, and most of the wiring is original and in good shape. The bed is really good and the underside is rust free. All in all, would be a good truck to keep original, or to do a custom without having to do a bunch of body work. Im sure I left some things out so give me a call or send me a message. 402 510 9999 stan. thanks
