This was a 1-owner, clean, dry, garage kept, find from an estate in Missouri. That makes me the second owner. I fully intended to keep this truck but another has come available that I feel I must switch to.... If you really want to know why, scroll down to, "Why I Am Selling."

PHOTOs

Please note, this truck was not professionally detailed. All photos were taken with an iPhone 6s. No editing performed on them other than sizing and cropping. That said, some of the photos have a high contrast of light due to the bright sunshine. One photo has redness where my finger got in the way, sorry. There is another red spot on one of the dash photos. It's actually a reflection of a red bag I had sitting on the passenger floorboard.

Last PHOTO added - 6:23-18

Some have asked for phtos of the frame.... the last photo shows multiple images down the driver side frame rail. It's a bit choppy as I pieced them together but it gives you a good view of how nice this truck really is... nothing has been done other than adding the new exhaust..... Very little work to wire brush the rust off, have the metal treated and coated with a good sealant.... Nothing is close to rust through.... what is there is only surface rust.... no biggie at all....

DELIVERY

I may be able to help with the delivery also. I have a little free time next week. Perhaps I could meet you half way between us if that helps. I would like to keep it within an 8-hour drive of my home in Charleston, IL.

I will accept CASH ONLY for payment on the day of pickup/delivery. If you wish to send a check, it must clear before you take possession of the vehicle. (may take up to 10 days) So if you send a check, I will let you know when my bank says it has cleared and the truck is ready for pickup.

NO RESERVE PRICE

Once the minimum bid is placed, there is no reserve after that. It's a sure sale if the buyer makes good on his/her promise to buy.

QUESTIONS?

Feel free to send me questions and I will do my best to get back with you.

GUARANTEE

I believe the best deals are good for both parties. If you come to pick up the truck here in Charleston and for whatever reason you do not wish to take it, you don't have to. You are free to walk away and I will let you off the eBay hook. That is not a license to "renegotiate" for a lower price. It is a take-it or leave-it guarantee. If you think I have misrepresented anything or are not happy with what you see, you are free to walk, no questions asked. BUT - It is being sold AS-IS. After the deal is done, it is done.

Why am I selling?

I was originally searching for the orange n white/cream (depending on the year) color combo in which my dad had several of from the 70s through the 80s. This one came available and it just so happens he had this color combo on one occasion. The only "other" color combo he ever had all through those years. After I had it a short while, as you would know it, a decent orange version comes available. It is not near as nice as this one, but it is the favorite color combo my dad liked best. So, I have to trade for it.... If it were not for that, I would certainly keep this one. I reluctantly sell this knowing someone will get a fantastic deal and it will only go up in value if it's taken care of. It sure is a head turner.... I get comments on it everywhere I go.

Item by Item INSIDE

Cig. Lighter works... I used it to charge my phone.

Heat works with no issues.

Cruise Control works flawlessly.

Air-conditioning works, just noticed today it's not as cool as it was. Pretty sure it just needs a recharge.

AM/FM Radio sounds good. This one even has treble and bass slide controls. I presume it is OEM though I do not recall seeing one with these features.

Automatic shift lever works smooth and registers the proper gear on the dash.

Fuel switch works as it should, switching fuel supply to the engine from the left/right side tanks. The fuel gauge on the dash does not seem to move as much as it should. I have not put much fuel in the tanks so I do not know if they will register proper or not. I suspect there might be an issue with that.

The ash tray door works well and the glove box door works well. No issues at all.

The carpet is in very good condition. With a good cleaning, it will look like new.

The seat is amazing.... No rips, no cuts, no stains, no burns... It's a very nice blue velour fabric still soft to the touch and very comfortable to sit on.

The seat adjustment slide and lever work smooth and easy. The seat back tilts forward with no issues.

All the seatbelts work. This truck was made when there are no warning lights or buzzers to remind you to put your seatbelt on should you forget when you pull out onto the road.

The brakes are great. No delay in braking at all and they apply strong and smooth. It is easy to feather them to a smooth stop almost to the point where you cannot feel when the stop takes place.

The gas peddle is responsive, no sticking at all.

The hood release works very well with minimum effort. It is not trigger finger easy but it does not require much pull to generate the release. I might add here also, the safety latch at the hood is easy to locate and operate as well.

The dome light does not have a bulb in it. I presume it would work if it had one.

The headliner is letting go. I'm 6'3" and its just barely touching my head. The headliner base feels good so it just needs to be recovered with the navy-blue headliner material. This is an easy fix especially since all the trim is attached with exposed screws. You can YouTube how this is recovered.

The dash has a very fine hairline crack almost dead center over the instrument cluster. It's not that noticeable. The rest of the dash is perfect. (on a side note, did you know using WD-40 to clean a dash will destroy it? WD-40 removes resigns from rubber and plastic so you should never use that product on those materials)

Visors are both intact and work. They are a bit stiff but that is way better than being to lose.

The side mirrors are in excellent condition and adjust to position with assurance they will stay put.

The rear-view mirror works well. There is a small area in the center on the lower edge about the size of a penny where the silver is coming off. It kind of looks like a spider web. I don't notice it hindering the view while driving but I do see it when I focus on the mirror itself.

The turn signal arm works well and cancels at the proper steering wheel rotation. The writing on the turn signal and cruise arm is still in very good condition. The windshield washer works as does the wipers. The wipers could use new rubber blades as they seem a bit stiff.

The electric locks work.

The electric windows work. They seem a bit slow but maybe that is in contrast to todays faster up and down power windows.

The flip around side vent windows work and latch proper.

All the air vents seem to be in good condition and operation.

I cannot think of anything left inside the cab to consider.....

Item by Item OUTSIDE

All exterior lights work: headlamps (high and Low), running lights, turn signals, flashers, brake lights, including the cargo light on the back of the cab.

The hood, doors and tailgate all work well with no difficulty or sloppiness.

The door seals are excellent.

All the emblems are in very good condition.

Tires have less than7,000miles on them. They showed me a receipt where they were changed out at 60,400 miles.

The tires, shocks and suspension all work well together to provide an excellent ride. I don't see how the ride could be improved. It's a smooth comfortable ride while experiencing just enough road to give you that "in-control" feeling.

I had aNew Exhaustput on it by a local shop where that is their specialty. They did a great job restoring the factory new, quiet running, Chevy, Silverado sound. And the exhaust was crated for the most custom fit.

The engine was a bit rough when I acquired it early this year so I took it to a shop where they putNew Plugs and Plug Wireson it. And they tuned up the quadra-jet carburetor. After that, yea, then it sounded like my dad's old 80's Silverado. She runs strong and smooth. The mechanic said though this carburetor is now running good, he recommended putting an Edelbrock carb on it. Something to consider if it gives anyone any issues in the future I suppose.

The transmission is great. I have never felt the slightest hint of an issue.

While driving, I notice how tight it drives. No rattles or shakes of any kind. Just a fine driving machine.

This truck has front bumper guards... I priced new OEM bumper guards for the truck I am getting and the price was $400. Yea, crazy isn't it?

The Chrome all looks good everywhere. There are a few tiny specks of rust on the rear bumper. I have not noticed any rust anywhere else. The specks are few and less than half the size of a penny.... Pretty small but perhaps something that should be addressed before they get any larger.

The inside bed of the truck has some scuffing. I see one very small dent (visible in the photo) in the bed if that is even worth mentioning. It's the only one I have noticed. It has a 2" ball on the bumper and it is staying with the truck.

There are some little scratches and blemishes here and there in the paint when you get up close. Hardly worth mentioning but they are there. The truck was waxed by hand (myself) one time. It could actually use another as there still remains some oxidized paint on the surface. I wonder if someone could use a very fine grade rubbing compound to remove that top layer of oxidized paint and then have a body shop put a fresh clear coat over it to protect the original paint for years to come and also block the UV rays.... If I were going to keep it, I would be asking body shops about that. The paint is too good to ignore if steps could be taken now to extend the life of it.

It did get rained on and I saw no leaks anywhere. All stayed clean and dry inside.

If I have said anything that leads to more questions, feel free to ask. I'll do my best to describe everything just as it is. There is no need for any surprises the day of pickup. I will be very happy when you are happy.... With this truck, I think it's an easy goal to accomplish. It really is a great find and a great value and an enjoyable ride for the streets.
