"I always wanted to build a truck like this. My buddy sourced the perfect body to start the build. These 5-Window trucks have always appealed to me since I was a kid. " - Tim Messimer, builder/owner
"She made good power on the dyno (509 horsepower). We are proud to have had a hand in this great build with our friend, Tim. This truck means a lot to our guys" - Michael Grubbs, business owner, Grubbs Motorsports, Garland, Texas
Rolling Stock consists of the 1st known set of American Racing Billet Rally Wheels, special ordered for this truck. The wheels are sized at 17" up front & 18" out back with Nitto NT555 rubber, 245/45ZR17s up front with 285/40ZR18s out back for this tough stance.
Sean Cooke is responsible for the incredible one-off interior design & execution. This beautiful low profile & comfortable seat is by TEA's Hot Rod seats.
I have extensive photos of this build from beginning to end. It was completed approximately 2 years ago and has been driven 4,500 miles so far very carefully by Tim, the owner.

Tim really went the extra mile on this gorgeous 1954 Chevrolet 3100 Series Advanced Design Pickup Truck.
Michael Grubbs & the Grubbs Motorsports' team is responsible for the incredible fit & the finish of this truck. The paint & body are laser straight. The paint is Spies Hecker, a very high quality brand.

Tim hand formed and worked these subtle tubs into the bed to make room for the wide 18" American Rallys.

You can immediately see the quality of this truck, but the more time you spend with it, the more detail you will find. This is a very detail-oriented build, no ordinary restoration.

The headlights will automatically turn off.

The interior lighting dims on a delay.

One thing I noticed right away when I was inspecting this particular truck is the low decibel of noise in the cabin. Tim explained that great length was spent ensuring the cabin would be quiet. In addition to extensive dyna-mat insulation, there is special foam inserted in the hollow areas, really making for a pleasant drive. Be sure to play the extended video test drive. I use a RODE professional microphone.
The dash was carefully done in this attractive matte red for a perfect contrast, also it keeps glare for the passengers at a minimum.
The gauges are the Dakota VHX series.
Check out the Marine-style fuel fill cap nestled in the stunning quarter-sawn Oak bed.

There is a hidden sliding drawer underneath the seat.

The engine compartment is nicely detailed. The Heart is the Grubbs Motorsport's built 388 cubic inch Performance Stroker V8. This FAST 2.0 Fuel-Injected powerhouse is rated at 509 horsepower. It has a forged rotating assembly, 4-bolt block, & AFR aluminum heads. This is a balanced & blueprinted engine, again built by Grubbs Motorsports, full specs. are available.
The firewall is show quality, matching the exterior. Inner panels were texture powder-coated. Note the quality of the hardware and components.
The engine front runner setup is by Billet Specialties.
