1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups 5 window

This car is part of the Allen H. Dieringer estate collection. We (the family) will be selling multiple vehicles in the coming weeks. Please visit www.dieringercollection.com to register for email updates as new listings become available and/or add me as a favorite seller. We've currently sold 10 vehicles with about a dozen more to come.

NOTE: We are NOT a motor vehicle dealer. This is a liquidation of an estate and our top priority is to get the highest price possible. We will not consider any trades, any cash offers outside of the ebay auction, nor can we assist with financing. If you have specific questions, I will do my best to get an answer, but due to the nature of this being an estate sale, full history and details of every vehicle may not be available to us. Please review my 20 year ebay rating and bid with confidence. If anything, I’ll be guilty of under describing these cars. All vehicles are located in Yoakum, TX and may be seen by appointment during the auction. The vehicles you buy will be made available for easy pickup by your shipper. I will mostly answer emails in the evenings after work, so be patient. I will respond to everyone.

This 55 series 3100, 5 window, short bed Chevy PU is a bit of a celebrity in the Yoakum, TX area. Known as the "Sea World Truck", it was owned for several years by Sea World of San Antonio, TX. We believe Mr. Dieringer purchased the truck in 1996 and it still sports the paint job, pin stripes and front license plate from it's duties at Sea World. The truck appears to have been blue originally, and the white paint could be polished to a presentable shine, although there is a tiny bit of surface rust beginning to peek through along body joints. We aren't sure, but the engine appears to be at least the correct engine for the truck, if not the original one. It starts VERY easily and the three speed shifter is very smooth. I've driven it a few blocks around town and it stops fine, drives straight, and stands up nicely. The original wood bed is beneath the steel sheet that has been added. In looking inside fender wells, and under the truck, there doesn't appear to be any rust that would be considered an issue; nor do I see any evidence of repair work. This truck could easily be made into a very cool daily, and if you're looking for one to restore from the ground up, this is an excellent piece to start with. Clear Texas title in hand.

All sales are final and you will have 24 hours from end of the auction to send a $1,000.00, non-refundable deposit via PayPal, with balance to be paid in cash, in person, or by bank wire transfer at your expense within 7 days of auction end. You will have 30 days to pick up your purchase in Yoakum. Please message for potential alternate payment options. Bidders with eBay ratings below +10 are subject to removal without prior approval. There will be a modest reserve on all vehicles we list for sale, but we intend to sell, so bid early and often with confidence, but be sure to ask your wife first! Message me with further questions. Thank you and good luck!
