Description:

1970 Chevrolet C-10

Up for your consideration is a 1970 Chevrolet C-20 pickup originally owned by Pepsi-Cola Bottlers of Winston-Salem North Carolina. This truck was driven by a long time employee of the company until his retirement in 1985, at which point he purchased the truck from Pepsi-Cola bottlers for his own personal use. The truck was used on his farm until 10 or so years ago when it was parked. The truck sat under a lean-to next to his barn until being sold and trailered to Wilmington North Carolina. This truck is the definition of the word "barn find."
Though it hasn't run since it was originally parked, the starter functions perfectly and the engine turns over freely. My personal opinion is that with a new fuel tank, fuel line, distributor cap, and weekend of work this truck could be running perfectly. Mechanically there is a Target Master 305 crate engine under the hood paired to a 3-speed column shift transmission. In the back is the highly sought after 10-bolt rear end matched with 8-lug steel wheels for maximum payload. The odometer reads only 105,000 miles.
The body is in decent shape. The pepsi striping and logo are still somewhat visible. The only obvious rust is on the quarter panels and tailgate. The frame, axle, and suspension are solid and quite clean.
This truck has HUGE potential. With a few days worth of DIY work, you could have yourself a solid American truck and a running/driving piece of North Carolina/Pepsi history. May consider delivery depending on distance. Please don't hesitate to message me with any questions you may have. Thanks!
