Description:

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS COPO

This 1969 RS Copo recreation was built by Hendrick Performance (owned by Hendrick Racing-NASCAR). It is a super high-caliber and precision-built Camaro. This car had a full-page ad in the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale book and it was a Friday car, meaning it was sold in prime-time. This Copo Camaro recreation is magnificent.
This RS COPO tribute was built right. It is powered by a period-correct 427 cubic inch V8 with a prettyaggressive cam. It is backed by a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission. 12-bolt rear axle. Everything under the hood is professionally rebuilt or brand new.
The body is laser-straight and the paint is superb. This Camaro has the RS (Rally Sport) front end with hideaway headlight system (now electric instead of vacuum...and both headlights doors work perfectly), cowl induction hood, and front and rear spoilers that are in "as new" condition. This COPO recreation has a cowl-plenum ducted air cleaner assembly, power frond disc brakes, power steering, all new chrome trim, weatherstripping and tinted glass.
The interior is all new and exceptionally done in red. Red bucket seats, new dashboard, carpeting, and new door and rear panels. The interior is stunning against the glossy, black paint.
This Camaro rides on polyglass, period-correct tires, with COPO dog-dish wheels. Everything inside this car and underneath this car is new with the factory marks that would have been present in a real COPO. I have additional pics I will gladly send you.
My tastes have changed a bit and I might be willing to trade for a convertible Impala, convertible early 50's Cadillac, Lincoln Continental convertible, or Buick Roadmaster convertible. This car is beautiful...and it is a beast!
