Up for auction is an incredibly straight and well restored 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne. This car has been completely gone through from body and paint to the drivetrain. The interior of this car is in great condition and is essentially new. The headliner, carpets, door panels, door sill plates and seat upholstery have all been replaced. Theoriginal dash remains uncut and still retains theoriginal radio, although it is notcurrently working. All of the lights work including the indicators and the dome light. The fuel gauge works and a brand new fuel tank sendingunit was installed. The car is fitted with a genuine vintage SuperiorPerformance Products "The 500" wheel in metallic blue. The heat works but the car needs a new blower motor. The body of this Biscayne is very straight. All of the body lines and gaps are even andconsistent throughout. The doors, hood and trunk open and close like a new car. This car has brand new floor pans as well as as some very minimal rust repair to the passenger rear quarter panel. All rustrepair was done correctly with new sheetmetal. The car has been resprayed once in itsoriginal color and was done very well. The entire front clip was removed for paint and all of the jambs weresprayed thoroughly. The front and rear glass was removed forpaint and all new rubber trim was installed. The caralso has brand new trunk and door weather stripping along with brand new door windowfuzzies with rubber trim. The paint shows incredibly well with a very deep shine. There is small scratch at the bottom of the passenger rear quarter that has been touched up, but there are no other major blemishes to be noted. The firewall is stillcovered in all original paint and retains several factory markings from new. Mechanically, this car has been completely overhauled. A Chevy 350 engine was installed along with a completely rebuilt TH350 transmission with a B&M shift kit. The rear end wasalso rebuilt and a 3.73:1 Eaton Positraction rear was installed. A brand new exhaust system has been installed. The front brakes were converted to disc with drilled and slotted rotors. The rear brake shoes were replaced and all of the brake lines are new. The front ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar end links, tie rod ends and shocks are all brand new as well. The car is fittedwith a genuine vintage 1960s set of 14x7 American Racing Torque Thrustwheels with a nice set of Cooper Cobra white letter radials. This car drives as well as it looks and will certainly notdisappoint.
