1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

These cars were purchased from a older gentleman and Virginia. The first car has been in storage since 1971 with the car are the 1971 and 1969 Virginia plates. The car was purchased when he came back from Vietnam and 68. The 1968 Connecticut tags are also with the car. Has a clear 1968 clear Virginia title. The car runs well. It is a 283 with a set of 327 Corvette double hump heads as well as the Corvette aluminum valve covers which go for about $200.00 he said the motor was freshly rebuilt. The motor has 50 PSI oil pressure at idle. The motor does not smoke and starts and runs great. It does have an electric fuel pump on the inner fender well. There was a problem with the manual pump. The car is in very good shape for its age. It is a three on the tree with a hurst shifter. It is one of the rarer 57's that has a seamless frame. Also known as a California frame which is a myth. The frame is solid. There is no rust in the trunk area. There is a sheet metal patch on the passenger side rear floor pan. I took a photo of the underside there are no holes. The front grill and turn signal bar are new from Danchuk. All the other floor pans are in good shape. All the glass in the car is good except for the passenger side vent window which is cracked. The glass is clear and has no delaminating or foggy.Headlights turn signals and brake lights work.Still has the generator in it and the light goes off after starting. This car would be a good candidate for an original restoration. Second car has a very solid body. The only patch panels and it are the front lower quarters which were repaired with butt joints not overlaps. Front end appears to be rebuilt has new bushings. Has a new one-piece floor pan with body mounts. Inner and outer rocker panels are new. Trunk area is solid but does have a few patches. The frame has been painted. I did notice a repair spot on the driver side rear rail. There was bondo along the top edge of the frame rail. There is no motor trans glass or interior.I do not have a title for this car the vin tag is still attached on the pillar. There are boxes of parts that are also included. All of the side stainless is there as well as the front bumper. Both cars have been sealed in a epoxy primer. I have plenty of photos upon request.
