Description:

1974 Chevrolet Blazer

I'm offering for auction my 1974 chevrolet blazer. This is an astounding vehicle and has handled eveything I've put it through. I use the truck for camping/recreation as well as shows and with a few more steps it could easily be a full show truck. Clearly the truck has had a variety of mods and the list of what I can remember is as follows:

New:

- ORD transmission and engine mounts

-Valve cover gaskets

- brakes including new master cylinder

- Superlift adjustable draglink with 2" drop to correct steering with lift

- Steering gear and rag joint

- driveshaft lengthened and rebuilt with new u-joints and yokes by Rocky Mountain Driveline to meet requirements of lift

- nearly new General Grabber AT2 35x12.5x15 tires with full size spare (new Pro Comp mud terrain)

- ORD HD tie rod with new tie rod ends

- rebuilt transmission by Aamco

- Fairly new battery (10/20/16)

- alternator

- Newly re-sprayed truck bed liner as brush guards and on top

Some other mentionable mods and info about the truck:

- full removable hard top with all glass in good condition, includes full size safari rack and tire mount

- 5.7L Chevy 350 with NP205 transfer case and TH-350 transmission

- True dual exhaust (custom headers)

- Dana 44 front axle, 12 bolt rear axle pro-built with 4.88 gearing front and rear

- 6 inch Superlift suspension lift

- Custom front and rear bumpers with front mounted Superwinch

- Custom interior and rear end with under-bed storage and locking storage

- Tailgate off an 82 blazer with a fully functioning electric rear window

- (Almost) complete setup for a dual battery [Inhibitor, fuse, and tray installed]

- Aftermarket stereo and speakers

Also included with the vehicle is a variety of extra accessories for off-roading and general mods for the truck. One of these is the original air conditioning unit this truck came with. Other things on the list include an ORD bolt in steering brace kit, 2 trail jacks, 2 jerry cans, a jerry can mount, a CB radio with all wiring and whip (truck has setup for dual mount), and some extra speaker wiring stuff like an amp and other accessories.

Keep in mind this is still a 44 year old vehicle so it is not perfect. The paint is fading and slightly scuffed here and there, there is a slight oil leak (valve cover gaskets, very easy fix I just haven't had the time), the engine thermometer gaugedoesn't function (but it has a new thermostat), and the fuel gauge reads empty sometimes even when it's not (goes away when turned off and back on).

This truck has been one of my favorite vehicles that I have owned, it's modern enough to be a capable vehicle on the roads and handle almost anything off-road, but it's collectible enough that everyone who sees it will want to ask about it
