1981 Chevrolet Corvette

1981 Chevrolet Corvette for sale. Original 5.7 Liter V8 engine with 4 BBL. It has always been garage kept, and for the last 18 years (it was my father's car, he passed in early 2001) only taken out in summer and driven a handful of miles to keep things loose. My mother is moving so we've decided to sell the family Vette.
Odometer reads 32,353, but I believe it has 132,353 miles. Engine fires right up each summer after battery charged and it runs strongly. My mom had the oil changed several times over the years. New plugs were put in and a leaky transmission line was replaced at one point. I've put in a couple new batteries over the years also. The tires have good tread, but they are at least 18 years old.The brakes will need to be checked out. I've seen where brake fluid has leaked near one or more of the tires. And the brake fluid reservoir is empty on one side. So while the brakes seemed to work fine when I drove it last, I would not recommend it be driven away from here, but rather transported, for safety sake.
The paint is dark gray with a lighter grey stripe down the middle. It has spidering throughout, but you don't see it unless you're up close. At some point somebody did a little unprofessional touch-up on the front end, probably to cover some nicks in the paint. There is a tiny dimple on top of the left front headlight cover (I took a close-up pic of this). The T-Tops are tinted, and they fit tightly. We have the storage covers for them, also.
My dad had the interior redone in the late 1990's. The seats were reupholstered, and new carpet put in. Some of the carpet lining the middle counsel has come a little loose over the years. Also, the clip is loose on the right side of the sliding lever for the heat/air. Aside from these small fixes, the interior is in good condition.
I've tried to mention every issue that I can see, to avoid any surprises. But if you have any questions about anything just email; I will check on it and get back to you within a day.
We would like a good-faith deposit of $500 within 48 hours of purchase. The balance to be paid in cash on or before pickup of car. The car must be picked up ASAP.
Thank you for looking.
