Description:

1925 Chevrolet Other Roadster

This 1925 Chevy Superior 2-Door Boat Tail Roadster was my go-to car for club events and tours for years including several long trips because of its reliability. I have driven it from Long Beach CA to Reno several years in a row on both Hwy 395 and Hwy 49 through gold country. Also has been to the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado.

Car travels reliably between 50-55 mph without pause due to this overdrive transmission which was machined into the original torque tube. The overdrive works by an electric solenoid activated by a remote button on the gear shift allowing each gear to be put into overdrive resulting in 6 forward gears.

I purchased this car in 1968 and restored it between 1968 and 1972.Car was in Long Beach, CA until about 1995, then Exeter, CA, now in Springfield Oregon.Has always been stored inside. All steel body, with no rust ever.Paint is acrylic enamel and is holding up well with minor imperfections that you would expect in an older paint job.

Car is loaded with the best of the best original options and accessories from the time period including a 1927 Quota Trophy radiator cap which would sell for well over $1000 alone.A complete list of accessories that the car includes is as follows:

Optima 6 volt battery

  • Chevrolet Moto-Meter temperature gauge mounted on steering column (see photos)
  • Tilt and locking "fat-man" steering wheel
  • Operational gas gauge on fuel tank.
