Description:

1978 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

I have my 78 Corvette L82 / 4-spd car for sale. Moving out of state. Numbers Matching powertrain, one of only approximately 1300 produced, with this combination. Classic White on white Oyster interior, a 1978 interior color only. Later Oyster interiors were Silver. This is a white/tan look. I have owned it for three years, prior owner for 18 years, and I have put a lot of effort to fix up the car, and have purchased many parts for small jobs still needed to make it super nice. I've run out of time to fix those things. Runs great, no smoke, passes Ca emissions testing with ease newer catalytic converter. Has upgraded fiberglass 315# spring in the rear end suspension control arms adjustable upgrades rides very smooth. Recent rebuilt brake calipers in the rear, and also comes with a performance brake package slotted rotors and performance pads ready to install. New carpet kit, sound deadening, and original seat leather reconditioned and RE-dyed. Many many parts to tinker with, to really dial it in. I have the horn button cover, weatherstrip seal kit, and the rear package tray carpet kit in trim, door trim, and surround trim in storage, that is included with the sale. No time to install those pieces otherwise I would ask much more. Dash has some cracks in it, but the cover hides most all of them. Stereo system is a CD player that has a retro type design, that I searched hard for, two round dials. It works fine, but rear speakers not hooked up yet. A/C is currently not operating but a new switch control panel is included and installed in the car currently could be a simple wiring fix, don't know. The paint is basically white primer, that's how I received it, and there is little to no body work needed to get it ready for a paint job. In fact, I took it this year to Maaco, don't laugh, they can do really good budget work on Corvette's, and they quoted me $2180 for their top of the line paint job, base of code 10 Classic white, and three coats of clear. They showed me a 69 they had painted black, and that guy paid $3k for a paint job that looked like a $7000 one. I was convinced on a white car, if I had a job 80% that nice, it would look outstanding. If someone wants me to have the car dropped off at that shop locally, and they pay them, I would be happy to assist. The car is a clear TITLE in my name, and fully registered and insured with a Classic car insurance company. Which also, was only $230.00 for a Year!!! Best deal out there!
Thank you, and feel free to contact me with serious questions about the car, SCAMMERS move on, I don't need your help, and don't ask me to cash a personal check, and hold the car for a week, and send a transportation company. CASH in Hand is the deal...
