1971 Chevelle factory Cranberry Red Bucket seat V8 car! Convertible

Price: - Item location: Marion, Indiana, United States
Description:

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu

First let me ask how many Factory Cranberry Red, black bucket seat V8 convertible project still exist? Can't be to many. This is the perfect car to clone to a Super Sport. You still need a 12 bolt rear end, sway bars and a SS dash.
BODY-- Nice solid body that is covered in polyester primer. It is dirty as the car has sat for a long time. Yes the jams are "blurple" that tells you how long its been sitting. The floors and trunk does have some patches as you can see in the pics. Very solid but visible. The quarters have been replaced with partials. Nice job see pic inside trunk area. Doors' fenders and deck lid look real good. New aftermarket SS hood. Frame has new bushings all around and is very dirty from sitting. Nice and straight no signs of rust.
Mechanical- 10 bolt open rear end mounted with aftermarket tubular arms-new front disc brake conversion- steering column is for floor shift-new rear air shocks-
New parts- included-complete weatherstrip kit (doors-top-trunk-window fuzzies-u jams-quarter window and bumper kit) New cloth top in box -dirty, as well as a new glass window for top in box- rear under bumper valance.
Old Parts-I have taken pics of all the used parts to the car. previous owner advised this was a running and driving car when taken apart years ago. He did do a good job of bagging and tagging all the parts and advised he threw very little away. I would have to agree.Dash pad is good with no cracks(I had to clean it to see). Convertible top frame looks to be in real good shape-I believe all the pump stuff for the top is present and it also has fluid in it. Radiator looks good (3 core)
Missing parts- He sold the original front bucket seats-I don't have the striker that bolts to the hood-I also don't have the heater box ( I think he was going vintage air)
MISC- vin on title matches vin plate as well as the hidden vin by the blower. Trim tag is 75=Cranberry Red 706= black bucket seat interior. Pic of trim tag did not come out well. Illinois open title.
Now for the money part---I will sell this car at no reserve. A real legit no reserve no one will be placing "bump up bids" With that said I reserve the right to sell this car at any time.
The buy it now price is $11,150 or $10,350 without the wheels and tires and on an old set of aluminum wheels.
As I stated before there can't be to many left and I don't except the auction to end with bidding but if it does I will honor the final price. So If you want it for less I suggest you bid. Thanks
You may inspect this car at my home just about anytime please call first. 765 206 0350 SteveI will also have the Grant County Sheriffs Dept run the vin and provide the paperwork to you. I live in Marion Indiana 1 hour north of Indy.
I have a smart phone and can text you any pic you desire of the car. Just give me a call.

Hi thanks for all the interest. I am going to try to answer some common questions here also. Rims are 20" in rear and 18" in front. All the parts shown came off this car. I was advised it was a complete running and driving car when taken apart. I don't have the 12 bolt, SS dash or sway bars, I simply commented that this is all you would need to SS clone it. Doors open and shut well, rockers are in very good shape. Car really is not that far from paint. Block sand the poly-use a little icing-shoot again and it should be real close to ready. Convertible frame looks real good. yes the weatherstrip kit also contains the weatherstrip for the convertible top. NO Trades considered other than 70 Chevelle. I can add money on my end for the right car. Phone calls do work best for me. I will send and pic you want from my smart phone.
