This is a true 1962 Bubble-Top 1637 code V-8.

409 V-8, 4-speed, 411 posi trac.

("QB" Engine stamp code = 1962 Pass Car 409hp Dual 4bbl, Manual transmission)

I have owned the car personally for approximately 4 years.

I purchased the car from the second owner who had it since the early 70's.

The car was drag raced through the 70's and 80's but with NO body / suspension modifications.

The motor is fresh with about 1,000 miles since a complete rebuild. It was balanced, has roller rockers, new valves and valve seats, high volume oil pump, etc.

Transmission is a Muncie M-21 Close ratio with a Hurst Competition Plus shifter.

The rear end is a 4:11 with posi traction.

The car will come as shown with the Vintage Torque Thrust wheels as well as steel wheels and original hub caps that were in the trunk when I purchased it.

I have the dual 4bbl intake and carbs that will also come with the car.Apparently it ran quicker times with a single 4bbl carb setup.

The current intake is part #3844463(This intake was used on all early 1963 400hp 409 engines).

The dual carburetorsetup will need to be restored prior to installation. It hasbeen shelved for 35-40 years.

It is casting # 3814881 (2 x 4 bbl Carter AFB's:1962Passenger car409/409 horsepower) Please see attached picture.

The exhaust manifolds are also date coded 409hp 409 (#38146831962Passenger car409409hp (1st design).

The car came from the dry desert of central Oregon and it shows.

It is 99% rust free with the exception being a 1/2 dollar sized spot on the drivers front fender down low (pictured).

The current mileage shows 57,990 but not confirmed original.

All of the body panels are original, gaps are great, windows roll up / down with ease, overall the car is in great mechanical condition.

I have only had this car out 10-12 times over the past years.

This car draws a lot of attention and is a great un-restored, honest, and cared for example of a 62 Bubble top.

Last year I drove it to the Goodguys Spokane show on Friday of 2017 and it drew the attention of the entire staff that witnessed the car coming in.

It won 1st place at the 2017 Oregon Mountain Cruise in the original / un-restored class as well as the 2015 Hot August Nights car show.

This is not a show car but rather a great driver / investment quality car.

It starts, runs, drives great and everything currently works except for the clock.

The radio even makes noise when it warms up.

The front end has been completely rebuilt including all bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc.

The brakes are new all the way around including wheel cylinders, hardware kits, master cylinder, etc.

The belts and hoses are all new as well.

The fuel tank and sending unit are new.

The BF Goodrich tires are also new.

All of this was done when I purchased the car approximately 800 miles ago +/-.

The motor was rebuilt prior to my purchase. I do not have any paperwork.

The car decodes as a Adobe Beige / Fawn car but is Red / Red. The car was Red / Red when the previous owner purchased it back in the early 70's so it had been color changed sometime in the 1960's. Please watch the video so you can see the paint up close.
