1963 Chevrolet Corvette --

CREME DE LA CREME -- ALL NUMBERS MATCHING
This is what you've been waiting for -- Early Edition 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Split Window C2 327 300 HP 4bbl AUTOMATIC Posi-Traction -- Daytona Blue with Riverside Red interior.
The following is copied from the Ebay listing in 2005 when we bought it.
From the 2nd owner when he listed it on Ebay (we are the 3rd owner)-- "This rare vehicle was purchased by my father in 1964 from a dealership in Wooster, Ohio. He was the second private owner. He moved to Reno, NV in 1979. My father passed. It had been garaged and never driven for as long as I remember (I am 32) (this was written in 2005). I have driven the car less than 500 miles in the last 2 years. The car was stored for the last 25 years and I babied it back to life by a local classic car restoration dealership. I have also had front end suspension work done, all four shocks replaced, new tires, radiator removed and boiled clean, new hoses and belt."
FRAME OFF TOTAL RESTORATION
Frame off restoration from 2007 through 2011. Period correct with obvious professional quality work; uniquely desirable at any level, the split window coupe was limited to one year production with only 10,594 cars produced (and only 2,621 were automatic). This is an excellent representation of factory design with added Vintage air-conditioning stealthily slipped into the heating vents to retain the stock appearance (which can be removed just as stealthily, if desired). Because of the automatic transmission and unique color combination, it is very possible that this is the only one left in existence.
EQUIPMENT
By the Numbers: Vin # 308375104771 (early production #274 of 10,594 built); Body 916 Daytona Blue (paint totally removed and repainted); Engine casting #3827369; Manifold #3799349.
EXTERIOR, INTERIOR
Paint removed and repainted; restored chrome & trim; working hide-away headlamps; knock-off rims with full covers and Firestone Deluxe Champion 6.70x15 bias ply white wall tires; new complete interior (headliner, seats, doors, dash, carpets); new wiring harness; refurbished Delco AM/FM push button radio; restored gauges, dash & trim; etc.
ENGINE, POWER-TRAIN & CHASSIS
Chevrolet 327 4bbl "Solid Lifter" 300 HP V8, (completely rebuilt by professional Corvette mechanics (mileage is less than 1,000)) vintage GM aluminum intake manifold, Carter 4bbl carburetor; new period correct radiator & clutch fan; factory power drum brakes, manual steering, Posi-Traction rear differential. The mileage when bought in 2005 was 80,222; as of this writing in March 2018, I have 83,901 miles on the odometer; a total of 3,679 since I purchased the car. Since restoration, I have less than 1,000 miles on the rebuilt engine.
MISCELLANEOUS
This is a RUST-FREE car and we have the history from the second owner (we are the third owner). This gem has never been driven in wet weather; I have over $40,000 in receipts (although my wife says it's closer to $60,000); I entered it in two shows: the first was Vets for Vets in 2011 and it won First Place; the second was the Carmichael Founders Day in 2011 and it won Most Authentic Restoration of a 63 Corvette and People's Choice award.
All restoration steps were followed by using the Nolan Adams Complete Corvette Restoration Book, 2nd Ed.
I have receipts & photos of every step of the process and any old parts that were switched out.Any questions, please email or call at 916-335-1958. Thank you for your interest.
I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time as I'm pursuing multiple methods of selling this car.
