Description:

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SUPER SPORT TRIM

1970 Chevelle with a nice solid body but certainly not perfect. It was built in LA. The car still has the original quarters and they do not have the Malibu holes. Without a real build sheet or the original engine I will consider it a clone.
Engine was taken out of a mid 70's motor home. I purchased it complete and running. I took out the engine in the car as it is high compression engine more suited for the track than street. The new engine has been rebuilt at one time because I had to replace the pan, oil pump and pick up to fit inside the Chevelle. At this time I observed the rods where marked (stamped). Engine runs good hold good oil pressure and is completely stock as removed from motorhome. Transmission is a M21 Muncie-it has a letter b on case. It has a newer clutch in good working order. Flowmaster mufflers on 2 1/2 inch pipe. Rear end is a Ford nodular nine inch with 380 gears. (also included are a set of 430 gears) It still has the GM bolt pattern. Southside Machine upper and lower control arms in back.
Newer parts on the car as follows-front bumper-clear turn signal lights-SS grill emblem-wheel moldings-454 emblems-outside door handles-outside mirrors-roof weatherstrip-centercaps-wheel trim rings-trunk emblem-carpet-front and rear seat covers-headliner-arm rest bases and pads-maybe the dash pad-window fuzzies-paint-Indy 500 tires-shocks.
Car is Torch Red single stage urethane. Driver quality has a nice shine and as most could use some sanding and buffing here and there. Doors open and shut well body is pretty straight. Floors, rockers and trunk in real good shape (will add pics shortly when I get the car up in the air) Trunk does have some holes drilled where a battery was back there.
The car needs- drivers exhaust has header leak-dash is out of a 72-only the aftermarket gauges are not working now. I think it might be the circuit board behind them I have purchased a new (incuded but uninstalled) plastic inner fenders broken. Brakes are mushy I have a new master cyl for it (uninstalled at this time. Rear bumper and pad is an original and shows it. Yellow marker lights missing. Dash radio holes cut- engine and underside need detailed. Chrome on top of rain gutter as well as the back of the hood. I hope you can see that I am trying to give you a fair overview of the car.
If you don't need a numbers matching car I think this is the cheapest big block 4 speed 70 Chevelle you will find on Ebay. I have a notorized title ready for your name, however you will have to pay a late fee. Also I had the Grant Co. Sheriffs Department run the title (vin) and have the inspection form. See pics.
I have a nice set of Weld Draglites that can be substituted for the 14 inch SS wheels. The Draglites are 10 inch in rear and 3 1/2 front. Tires are shot. If you take the car with the Draglites and not the SS wheels you may deduct $400 form the price. They where on the car when I bought it.
I have added a pic of the Draglite wheels,4 center caps and lugs included.
I will stop the auction at anytime for $21,700 with the SS wheels $21,300 with the Draglites Also if you can pay in cash I will deduct another $200
I live 1 hour north of Indy- please feel free to call me at 765 206 0350 Steve

Several request for pics under car. I am going to try to get some tonight. Also hopefully a buddy can come over and help me bleed the new master cyl. If I get better brakes I will post a video of it going down the road.

I got the car up in the air just now and I found two things. First there is a small hole that has been patched with fiberglass at the seam at the drivers feet. It is small see pic. Second the trans tunnel has been cut out and the previous owner bought a new trans hump for it but it's screwed to the floor instead of welded. The rest of the floors and rockers are in very good shape. I will take a video of the underside and put it on you tube. As soon as my camera charges I will add pics. Also I have a friend who is going to help me bleed the master cyl tonight so it should be ready for your shipper by tomorrow. I have also been asked if black strips could be added. Answer yes, I am very busy now but I think we could get it done, additional cost $100. But if my buddy cant do it quickly it may take me a week to get to it.
