Up for sale is this beautifully restored Chevrolet 3800 5-window pickup. All steel body. All sheet metal and frame taken down to bare metal. Engine completely rebuilt with .20 over aluminum pistons. Rear end has been changed from a 5.14 to 1, to a 4.10 to 1 with the speedometer re-calibrated to be accurate. The truck will now run 60 to 65 mph. comfortably. Frame and under body painted with POR-15. Wheel wells + inside fenders also coated with truck bed liner. New kingpins, new brake shoes, rebuilt wheel cylinders. Shocks added in the rear ( not original equipment on one tons.) New original style exhaust system. New 7.50 x 17 bias ply tires on original rims. Has a good spare. 9-foot bed done with yellow pine as original. The original radio has been rebuilt and works great. Gauges have been refaced. Heater w/defrost works great. Has a Fulton visor. Doors open and close great, and fit very good. Interior work includes new o.e.m. style floor mat, re-upholstered bench sea, cab roof liner, new arm rests and visors, glove box liner, all new cab rubber weather strip, window rubber etc., rebuilt vacuum wiper motor, This truck has been in my family since the 80's. It was a very top of the line pick up, with all stainless window and door trim, stainless dash accents, 5-window cab, Chrome bumpers and grill, heater, radio etc. It's done in an original color of Forester Green. All stock except sliding back window, aluminum pistons, rear shocks and 4.10 gears. I've used this truck for car shows, parades, Sunday drives only. It is indoors every night, and stored inside every winter. Every thing works as it should, except one wiper arm linkage clip wont stay on, easy fix. Truck also comes with owners manual, and approx 20 trophies, mostly 1stand 2nd place. From local shows. Please feel free to ask questions. I have a lot of pictures of the restoration process. Will post recent pictures soon, When I get it out of storage.
