1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo BIG BLOCK COUPE

Super clean rock solid big block Monte Carlo that must be seen and experienced to be appreciated! This car doesn't see any rain or snow and has been used very slightly throughout the years. I have endless amounts of pics under this car to visually describe what you're getting with this machine. Nothing to hide at all as I took pics so that you can feel confident in this car so there are no surprises whatsoever. Thousands upon thousands were spent to do this car right. Whomever scores this car will be saving tens of thousands of dollars versus what it cost to build. This car is an original South Carolina car with 59,182 miles. It was repainted one time during 1988 in its original Covert Tan exterior. During the repaint, the original vinyl top was removed for the "cleaner" look for that time. The frame, floors, and all sheet metal are in spectacular condition. This car has not been cut apart, tubbed, or even mini-tubbed for that matter. It is an original 402 ci big block Turbo 400 coupe with power bench seat (now removed), column shift (still intact, but is now floor shifted) manual windows, manual locks, remote manual drivers side mirror, manual steering, and manual brakes. This Monte is now a legitimate 1000+hp street legal monster where zero short cuts were taken. Right now the car makes 899hp on the pump gas tune. The race tune produces over 1200hp with 1000hp plus to the wheels. The original big block has been replaced with a fuel injected, meth injected, professionally built 540 Merlin 2 big block having forged internals including Diamond 9:1 pistons. It also sports specially worked Canfield based aluminum heads and an F2 Procharger to stuff more air into this hungry beast. The 4" oval X pipe exhausts the hot air through a pair of 4" Spintech or 4" Dynatech mufflers. I have both. The built Turbo 400 links to a 12 bolt Moser posi with 3.42 gears. So much has gone into this car so it can be driven safely at 160-180 degrees down the road or blasted down the track if that's your desire. The quick ratio steering box allows you to hold the road with confidence as the QA1 coil-overs take the weight of this big beauty. Tying this Monte together, making the whole frame/chassis rigid, and keeping you safe is a certified chromoly cage. Stopping power comes from Aerospace Components 4 wheel disc brakes with braided lines that will slow you down on your choice of Billet Specialties Street lite or Weld Pro Star wheels. This first generation Monte Carlo is free of rust or rot and will impress the first person to see it. I wouldn't consider this car to be a show car where it never sees the light of day, but it is in very great shape with a few paint flaws (due to age) here and there. Remember the car was painted in 1988 but the paint is definitely hard and solid. The motor and chassis work that has been done are first rate and the work was done within the past 6-8 years. Since it was built, the car has not been driven much which is evident once you see the underside of this Monte. In fact, less than 2,000 miles have been put on this car since 2001. I do have the cowl hood as well. If you are looking for a professionally built, 1000+hp street/strip, rock solid first generation Monte Carlo that nobody else has, this is it!
