Description:

1963 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport

You are looking at what has to be one of the best 63 Nova Convertible finds ever. I found this car stuffed away in a garage last summer. I bought it from a gentleman who had bought the car in 1964 from a coworker who had purchased it new. He drove it to work for several years before turning it over to his wife to drive. She used it as a daily driver until the mid 1970s when they gave it to their daughter to drive to high school. By 1983, they really didn't have much use for it anymore and that's when it went in the garage. It sat in the garage for 35 years before I bought it and brought it back to life.
The car was and is in amazing condition. There is no rust in it and the floorboards are the nicest original ones I have ever seen. They were never under coated or rattle canned over the years and they are in pristine condition and still wearing the original red oxide primer. The Nova only has 74,000 original miles on it but it had sat for 35 years. I had the original engine professionally rebuilt and reinstalled while only cleaning and detailing the engine compartment. Here is a list of things that I did to get it road worthy
- Professional rebuild of the original engine- New radiator- Complete brake rebuild- Complete exhaust system- New tires- New original style master cylinder- New heater core and hoses
There are probably more things that I don't remember at the moment. This car is dialed in and runs and drives like new. This is the time to buy your spring and summer time ride. I bought this car to keep and I have several Other Novas but I would be interested in trading for or buying a 1970 or 1971 Ford Torino GT Convertible.
This car is optioned with front and rear bumper guards, rear antenna, and front and rear floor mats. I've had several 63 SS Convertible Novas and this is by far the nicest original one I have ever had. It's just one of those cars that the doors shut with one finger, all the dome lights work, has the original trunk mat (not a repop), has all 5 14 inch 4 lug SS wheels, which are crazy hard to find, and all of the original glovebox paperwork from the factory.
I believe it has had some paint work over the years but it appears that it is wearing at least some of its' original paint. The car looks incredible but it does have a few chips and nicks as you would expect of any 55 year old car. The interior is very nice. It does have a small rip in the top of the original rear seat. I have a piece of tape on it and is really not noticeable.
I encourage anyone to come drive and inspect this car in person. You will not be disappointed!! Nice survivor cars get harder to find every year.
