1965 Chevrolet Other

You are looking at a custom 1965 Chevy 9' Step side truck. In 1965, Chevy made a C-30 2WD pickup with a 9' step side bed. I bought this truck in very nice condition with intensions of making it a more modern driving 4WD. I purchased a 1987 M1031 military truck which had 12000 original miles as the donor truck.

The M1031 trucks were built with a GM TH400 automatic transmission hooked to a NP208 transfer case. They utilized a 6.2L diesel which was the only drive piece I didn't use. The front axle is a Dana 60 and the rear is a 10.5 Corporate, both equipped with Detroit lockers. The drive components remain stock other than a new torque converter to couple the BIG block Chevy motor.

The engine is a 496 Chevy Big Block with Proline cylinder heads, Quickfuel carburetor, Forged crank, 10:1 compression, Hydraulic roller cam, producing 650 horsepower. The truck runs incredibly well with this motor and has absolutely NO problem rotation the 38" Procomp Tires.

There are way too many new parts put into this build to list, but some of the highlights include:

-American Autowire complete truck harness

-Ididit tilt steering column

-LED marker lights and Halogen leadlights

-Stereo, amp, speaker package with rear camera, Bluetooth, DVD

-Custom Amp steps to assist entry

-Custom 9' wood and SS strips from Mar-K Industries

-26 Gallon fuel cell mounted in rear (utilizing factory fuel gauge)

-All new chrome bumper, grill, handles, etc

-Full Custom 3" dual exhaust system

New suspension springs and shocks

-Custom rear bumper
