Up for bids is a great builder 1978 Corvette. We pulled it in running, backed it up, put it on jacks, and it's been stored in heated storage for almost a year (haven't had time to start restoring it or really getting after it). We did notice the ignition was not working right when we went to take pictures, so I have purchased two ignition sets (there were two styles apparently used in this, so we picked up both and will be included in the sale).
As you can see, it is a little dusty, but overall the body is in great shape! The only thing that is really missing from the vehicle is the driver side floor carpeting. It had heel wear marks from driving and was set to be replaced. For that reason, the driver seat has also been unbolted. There is an abundance of extra parts inside the car (as you can see in the pictures) as well as a select few that we will be including above and beyond what's in or on the car.
The engine is an unmolested 350 with an automatic transmission. It is a factory air conditioned car and everything is in place and, when we tested it when parked, everything was working!
To make the car 100% again a power antenna needs to be installed (which is being included with the sale), the ignition needs to be replaced, the driver floor carpet needs to be replaced, and driver seat needs to be bolted in. There is a small crack on the skeleton of the hood (which you can see in the pictures). This does not impact how the hood looks closed, nor how it functions (it still closes and works like it should), but you may want to have that replaced or repaired.
There are brand new Hankook tires all around the car. We are also including a set of 1978 Pace Car clear T-Tops that will fit this car perfectly. They will be included in a padded carrying case.
