1962 409 Chevy Bel Air For Sale

I am second owner of this car, originally a 283 PG car that was built in late 61.

Currently has a late 1961 pre X block QB 409 w 30 over Ross pistons and Z-11 solid lifter cam

roller tip rockers with locking nut adjusters, windage tray ect. factory 2.5 manifolds Moon alum valve covers.

1962 T-10 trans with repo shifter and handle with factory sheet metal tunnel hump for shifter.

Correct factory aluminum bellhousing.

Rebuilt rear end housing and axels with a rebuilt open 3:08 or 3:36 gear carrier and the factory 4:11 posi was rebuilt rebuilt and included, great for power but bad for gas mileage.

Auto meter tach in chrome cup and Sun box mounted on fender well.

Original intake with factory correct carbs, factory dual point distributer with high output coil.

Changed over to alternator, will include factory generator and brackets.

All suspension, brakes including disc up front and dual master has been replaced rebuilt, body to frame bushings, new fuel lines, new replacement fuel float sender included but not installed.

I purchased this car back in 1989 or 90, started working on it then raised a family, in 2007 I finally had her on the road she has been to all the local shows in Ventura County and she has less than 3,000 miles on her after the rebuild. During the rebuild the dash was fully disassembled painted gages all cleaned and speedo was reset to zero. This car had less than 80,000 miles when I purchased it with 2 small rust spots in both front fenders in the typical spots lower fender by the door. These were replaced with metal and the car was painted in 1990, all rubber replaced, replacement factory interior kit installed and 5 sets of lap belts. The visors are not installed but included and headliner has a few stains.

The car was sold new in California and has lived here all of it's life.

All chrome was re plated factory plastic emblems replaced 409 badges and flags installed in factory locations.

Factory wiper arms were not reinstalled but included, factory radio did work but now it lights up but no sound, maybe the speaker?

The rims are early and period perfect 5 spokes that have brass or bronze locaters casted in for mounting on the hubs, never seen any like these before.

Dual exhaust with hemi type mufflers, not too load but with a good sound.

This has been a great car and now it's come time for somebody else to enjoy.

Call with your questions. I live in Ventura County Cal.
