Description:

1980 Chevrolet Corvette

MY LOSS, YOUR GAIN! If you have been looking for an affordableC-3 Corvette project, look no further! I have owned this Corvette for about 2.5 years, and have invested approx. $5,000 in improvements. Unfortunately I cannot finish this project, so I have to sacrifice and let her go. This is a 1980 Corvette with the hard-to-find factory 4-speed transmission (only about 5700 Corvettes had 4-speed in 1980). VERY fun to drive!

Below I will try to explain everything good and bad about the car. If you have any questions, please contact me before bidding! Buyer will be responsible for pickup and shipping. The car is located in Pahrump,NV (about 50 miles NW of Las Vegas).

The GOOD: ** Stock 190HP engine was replaced with a 340HP 350 crate motor from Summit Racing. Very low miles on new engine. ** Mostly new interior, including: re-upholstered seats, new carpet, new console. Dash pad in very good condition. ** Custom dash and gauges from autometer (see pics) everything works perfectly. Ashtray was replaced with I-pod docking station ** Custom AutoSound Corvette radio, new front speakers, new rear speakers in custom boxes, and new power antenna.System sounds great! ** Rear carrier and rear suspension has been completely rebuilt, including: New leaf spring, all new bushings (including control arm bushings), new bearings and sealsin carrier, new clutch plates in carrier, new u-joints on driveshaft and half-shafts. ** Brand new dual exhaust system, including: ceramic coated headers and dynaflow mufflers. **

The BAD: ** Paint is not good, will definitely need either paint or vinyl wrap to look good. ** Needs weatherstripping replaced, around windows and T-tops. It's not missing at all, just very dried out and starting to crumble. ** Heater core started leaking recently. It doesn't leak inside the drivers compartment, it leaks to the underside of the car. Possibly one of the copper tubes that connect the heater hose to the core is cracked. ** The engine also recently developed an oil leak after driving it around town for a couple of hours. Not sure if it is the oil pan or the rear main seal (or possibly elsewhere?), but it is a constant, steady drip of oil. Irritates the hell out of me, because the car didn't leak a drop before this! ** Tires need to be replaced. They hold air and tread is OK, but the sidewallsare weather-checked and I wouldn't trust them at highway speed. But they are definitely OK to transport on trailer. **

Please ask any questions and study the pics before bidding. I have placed a very low reserve on the car, far below the amount I have invested thus far. Unfortunately, I just need to sell this car ASAP.

Thanks for looking! Good luck!
