1966 Chevrolet C-10

Super nice driver truck. 327/700r4 4-speed automatic with Lokar floor shift. Cruises at 2200rpm at 70mph. Clutch pedal still in place from old 4 speed and have all linkage. 12-bolt 3.73 differential, coil spring rear. Tilt/power steering, non-power drum brakes which work fine but would upgrade to power/disk for a heavy foot. HEI, Edelbrock carb, headers into Flowmasters, fairly nasty exhaust rumble. No internal engine specs or mileage known, never investigated engine numbers; was rebuilt before previous owner and driven rarely, has plenty of power but not radical. Lots of recent/new parts, and I have a thick folder full of receipts and owner history back to 1986 from KS. Clear OK title in my name.

Super straight body and paint, restored several years ago, not perfect but no dents anywhere. Fenders and support braces were replaced, outer edges of floors above rockers were patched over minor rust, rockers solid outside - again with minor rust underneath at outer floor edges; top front edges of inner fender panels at radiator support showing minor rust.

Everything works, all lights (backup not connected), speedo/odometer accurate and also has tach on column, a couple of gauges are aftermarket module under dash. Single knob economy heater and wipers work but never driven in bad weather anyway. E-brake handle and cables missing. Spare is in the bed (new exhaust doesn't leave room underneath), this could be fixed by shortening tailpipes a little. I added toolbox in bed for jack etc., but it's easily removed if desired.

It's a fairly loud old truck, an absolute blast to drive, but wouldn't want to drive it 100 miles daily. It's a rare trip in it that doesn't involve a parking lot conversation with a stranger about the truck.

I recently put in new carpet and padding, a '91 steering wheel (still have orig. 17”) and custom blue cloth seat with fold-down console with hidden storage, Lokar shifter boot and gas tank cover (black cardboard like factory original). Visors missing. Ordered a billet dash gauge insert that will go with truck also.

I bought it Aug. 2017 while working at home, just because it was way too nice to pass up and I've owned 3 of these. I drive it on weekends, but now need something more practical for daily travel since work situation recently changed.
