1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 tribute resto

I bought this 1968 Chevelle Convertible malibu SS 396 L78 M21 4 speed, 12 bolt, from a collector I have bought many other cars from to add this to my personal collection. I have seen the restoration work he does and I always jump when he offers me a car as I know the quality is always there. I was told that this car was born with a v8 as a malibu and the previous owner restored this car as a frame off restoration to make it as close to being a SS 396 except for the tag on the dash (and some mi...nor cosmetics I added). He had this car and a donor true SS 396 that was too far gone to save and used a lot of the parts etc and reference to make this one a amazing car. This car is a frame off done within 377 miles ago (that is from me driving this summer.) In my opinion, this car rides, runs, and drives better than it was new. This car has era correct parts/engine etc. Original 396 L78 engine casting #3935440 Factory square port 1968 heads casting #3919840 Winters casting factory Aluminum Intake #3885069 Correct Holley L78 Carb #3923289 Factory M21 4 speed trans #3925660 Factory gauge pack with climbing Tach (rare option) Fully rebuilt motor with new roller top end, upgraded cam, new centerforce clutch and pressure plate. Rebuilt factory power disc brakes Rebuilt factory power steering All new suspension with upgraded Hotchkis control arms and heavy duty sway bars front and rear. Full dual Exhaust with crossover All new interior including carpet, seat covers, seat foam, door panels, convertible top, and all new weatherstripping. Body was stripped to bare metal and painted with PPG Primers and BC/CC paint by a professional restoration shop. New tires with restored original wheels and NOS trim rings.I put in a updated but vintage looking radio. works awesome! Make sure you watch the video of this car, it really is one of the nicest restorations I have in my collection. I am only selling this as I bought a 1963 Corvette Split window and I want to clear some funds to help pay for it. I have put on a total of 377 miles on this. I mainly drove it in a parade or two (make sure to stay around until the end of the video and you can see it being driven (along with some others in my collection ) for the local homecoming parade last week!) I drove it on some 40 mile trips etc here and there but mostly kept it inside my showroom. this is something you can win and drive back with you or ship it to your door feeling awesome you got a nice one. All of the power options like the top radio etc work. I never had it in the rain but everything looks nice and tight. All of the lights and gauges are working. Power Steering is working great and nice to have with the powerful l78 and larger car. Very easy to drive. the vin tag and data tag are there. the trunk as pictured does not have a spare or jack. The clutch shifts great all gears and this L78 v 8 engine screams. It has a mean sound to it. I added the SS stripes and white SS 396 emblems to the car, makes it pop. This Chevelle gets looks everywhere you go, lots of pictures and smiles as it is not the typical hard top you see everyday at every show. The body is laser straight, you can tell a pro did it. I bought SS 396 floor mats that stay with the car. The license plate and plate frame do not go with the car as they are part of my personal collection. It has a clean and clear title ready for you to register it. The underside looks as clean as the rest of the car. You will not be disappointed in this Chevelle! In my opinion this is very close to a number 1 condition or high 2 as I did use it this summer 377 miles. As everybody has their own opinion on what a classic should be, I recommend coming to inspect the car here in my showroom at teddy s auto sales, or hire ebay to do a independent inspection for you, (note this should be done before the auction ends and not after.) make sure to study the pics and video so you see what you are getting. I require a non refundable 200 dollar paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the jeep, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers i have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions at all, call me 563-562-0330 or 563-562-0330! thanks
