1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-Door

STRESS MANAGEMENT Is For Sale
Selling my 69 Chevelle Race Car. I really hate to sell
this car, I have not even ran this in 7 seasons due to
changing health. This engine was assembled by
myself in my own full service Machine Shop. I Have
built/rebuilt many engines since 1987. I am going to
list all the work that has been done since I've owned
it. The Transmission is a Turbo 400 with Reverse
Valve Body. 5500 Stall Converter. The trans cooler is a
Derale double stack with fan. Has Trans Brake. Heavy
Duty shafts and Steel plates and friction plates.
Maybe 15 passes on the Trans. The Shifter is a new
B&M Pro Stick Shifter with reverse pattern.
with reverse lockout. The rear axle is a Chevrolet 12
bolt. Gear ratio is 5:38 With Spool. Aftermarket axles
as well. Not remembering the brand at this time.
Has fully adjustable 4-link system. The car is fully
tubbed with sheet metal done. The drivers side roll
bar has the swing out option, to ease getting in the
seat. The car has always passed inspections at the 3
tracks it has been regulary run at. The windshield and
side windows are removed and Lexan installed. The
windshield has several small cracks on the lower right
side. Due to age I believe.
The front brakes have been updated to disc. Brakes.
With dual piston master cylinder.
Has a Kirkey Aluminium racing seat with cover.
The engine is a 406 based engine. The block is
Chevrolet factory piece. It has a tall fill of Hard Block.
ALL threaded bolt holes on the block have been
chased with a new tap. Cylinders were Honed with
Deck Plates on both sides. The main bore has been
alighned honed. The cylinders have 5 steps of honing.
The Pistons are JE Domed at .040 over size. Full
Floating Pins and Bushed rods. Plasma moly file fit
rings with low tension oil rings. The block is trued
with BHJ fixture at "0" Deck. The cam bearings are
Dura-Bond coated. Main studs and Rod bolts are ARP.
Moroso oil pan and windage tray. Melling sellect oil
pump with the extended shafts. ARP pump drive.
Bearings are Clevite "H" series. The crankshaft was
heat treated as well. Heads are RHS iron, with Ferrea
6000 series stainless valves. Springs, Machined steel
Locks,Chrome Moly Retainers, are all Comp-Cams.
The Guide Plates are Manley Stepped type. The studs
are ARP 7/16. The push-Rods are also Manley Thick
wall Chrome Molly. The camshaft is a comp-cams
solid lifter. The Rocker Arms Are Crane Gold series
1.6:1 Full Roller. The Timing set is a Cloyes
Hex-Adjust True Roller pins. All Gaskets are Fel-Pro
with the head gasket being the Racing series. The
heads have been ported and opened up to maximize
the flow. The carb is a demon 850 cfm dual feed
double pumper(New).
The gauges are all Auto-Meter and include; Fuel
Pressure, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Trans
Temp. Tach with adjustable red line. Has Line Lock
Roll Control as well. Has new Perrelli front tires. Dual
fuel filters at the rear of the car, 1/2" aluminium fuel
line. Bradded stainless at the regulator to the
carburetor. I believe the fuel cell is an RCI. Not sure
though. The Battery is mounted in the rear, Has
approved disconect switch at rear with external jump
posts. MSD 7 AL-2 electronics ignition box. MSD Billett
aluminium Distributor. Msd Coil. MSD 2 step box.
Electric Cooling Fan and aluminium Electric water
pump. There is a switch panel with all needed
swithches. Car Launches Hard, Goes Straight. I HAVE DESCRIBED TO THE BEST OF MY
ABILITY. There is No warranty on any of the parts, Or
the car itself. Absolutely no test drives. When paid for
we can run it at your own risk. Some just get too
crazy with a little horsepower. Including Myself. Ha
Ha. If the car goes over the reserve a few hundred, I
will include extra parts and goodies. Free with the
sale.
I have this listed else where as well and reserve the
right to end auction early. I do not plan to do this
though.

Other notable features I have forgot to add;

Front fenders are fiberglass.

Hood and deck lid are also fiberglass.

Front and Rear bumpers are also fiberglass.

The cam bearings are coated by Calico Coatings.
