Description:

1967 Chevrolet El Camino

This is a very clean 1967 El Camino. Pretty much if it moves it has been replaced, motor is a 4 bolt main 350 guts are stock, HEI ignition, summit carb 750cfm, trans is a turbo 350 with shift kit and new stock converter. Gas tank was replaced. Aluminum radiator with temp controlled electric fan, I dont drive it when its 100 plus here in Tucson but on the nice days it runs at 180-190 . All the suspension parts are new with tubular upper and lower control arms from and rear. Sway bars front and rear. 225/60/17 on the front 245/55/18on the rear, BF Goodrich TAs. Lowered with the coil spring 3in front 5in in back, tires only rub a tiny bit on the front when turning tight and hitting a bump, but if they dont rub a bit they dont sit this good. NO POWER STEERING but the manual box is a new close ratio and I like the way it feels. Conversion kit are cheap if you want to convert it. Bearings in the 10 bolt non posi rear end are new and it has 3:08 gears. The brakes are all new from the booster back, with drilled and slotted front rotors, drums in the rear. The seat has been rebuilt with the bucket seat style foam, black vinyl with grey cloth inserts.Glass is good, speedo, odometer, gas gauge, temp gauge wipers, and all the lights work. This is a no rust car out of Texas, and the strange vin # is due to a lost Texas title it has a Texas assigned id #. The car has a clean AZ title. Paint is very nice driver quality, no show car and has a few scars not bad at all. This El Camino is no speed demon maybe 300hp, but it goes down the road nice and straight with a lot less rattles than most, brakes straight with no complains. As with all 50 year old car it is not perfect but for the money you are not going to find a nicer old chevy muscle car that will make you look this good at any car show. As all you car guys know, you cant come close to building it for the money but I never seem to drive it any more so its time for the next project.
