Description:

1954 Chevrolet Belair

Car has only 89,000 actual miles. 6 cylinder and 3 on the tree ( column shift ) manual transmission with good clutch. It runs great and has had recent extensive brake job done by me with new shoes and all new metal lines- every one was replaced. The brake hoses were checked and do not swell so I reused them. Needs grille and back window. I have found the window. Has surface rust here and there- it's only 63 years old- but overall it looks pretty good. Motor is 235 cubic inch straight six with overhead valves. It has had recent tuneup and carb rebuild. Car is 100% stock. All 4 tires are new. Front seat has been redone like the original. Rear seat needs some work but can be saved. Stuffing gone on upper half. Seat cover needs to be restretched over new stuffing. Headliner is in pretty good shape. Drives just like my Aunt Belle's 55 Chevy. Clean Ohio title with actual miles. Rockers have very little to no rust, and is solid but no where near perfect. Blemishes on paint. Surface rust. I put the custom non-stock grille on It.We drive it locally out on the roads, and temp gauge works and stays in the middle. It handles pretty well and brakes are great. I have a video of the car driving around the farm going through gears and getting on it a little. Bel Air was the top model in 54. I am running the car on a gas can using the car fuel pump. Gas tank is empty but I have never tried using it. Trunk is good and solid with exception of spare tire well which has a rust hole. I have had a lot of old cars and this one is in better solid condition shape than some I had 25 years ago. But I understand condition is subjective. I doubt if the floor is completely rustfree. Exhaust is quiet. Car is in Cincinnati.
