Stereo System The original Delco Bose stereo system along with its wire harness was carefully removed and then replaced with a7-speaker Pioneer touch screen system with amplifier and subwoofer. The transmission case and reardifferential case were bead blasted and sprayed in hi-heat satin clear. The differential is a Dana 36 limitedslip with a 3:07.1 ratio. Exhaust System The exhaust system is a stainless, mandrel bent, 2.5 inch system that has been fully ceramic coated. (The system requiredadjustments after being coated, so some of the coating around several joints had to be removed & replaced w/ black paint)The system is based on a Pypes brand catback system with JBA shorty headers and a center dual inlet/outlet "X" muffler.There are 2 catalytic converters in the system. The car passed a Nevada smog check in March 2017. The exhaustsystem is fully welded. The EGR system is still in place. Undercarriage The undercarriage was completely cleaned, then everything under the car was removed, cleaned and coated or refinished.The frame cavities were treated with Eastwood products. All hard lines for brakes and fuel were cleaned/sprayed and arein very good condition. (VIN 120749) was a very nice 38,000 mile car purchased in late 2013 to be minor restored. Soon after purchase, it wasdiscovered that (VIN 120749) was not suitable for restoration or use and was retired to be a parts car. Itsupplied a complete drivetrain/suspension, body panels, wire harnesses, glass and many interior and under carparts. A couple years passed as new parts were collected and the parts from the donor car were reconditioned.After complete disassembly, (VIN 120749) was disposed of in mid 2016. In late 2015, (VIN 109189) (THE CAR IN THIS LISTING) was purchased for restoration. It was a worn hi mile car,but had a solid foundation for restoration. It was completely disassembled, cleaned then carefully reassembledduring early 2016 to early 2017 with new parts and the parts from (VIN 120749). Since the vehicle is miles exempt,the odometer from the (VIN 120749) donor car cluster has been increased to reflect the (VIN 109189) history report.(204,xxx Miles on VIN number) Seller has photos of the restoration & image scans of the receipt binder contents. Prospective buyers areencouraged to contact the seller for links to the photo albums as eBay does not allow links in listings. This vehicle was methodically restored by a 30+ year c4 enthusiast to be kept for another 30+ years.Unfortunately, the seller can no longer afford to keep the vehicle. Faults and Flaws The following consists of the main known flaws with this vehicle. It is not intended to be a complete list. This is a nice, solid, great driving car. However it is not flawless. Glass - Minor water spots on the glass. Eastwood sells a kit to polish these out. Steering Rack - The steering rack has minor seepage at the input shaft seal. The rack is under warranty from there-builder (until Jan 2019). Information will be included on where to send the rack for service if desired. Sellernever got around to having it fixed, because it's not that bad. Some Pig Mat is wedged under the rack to catch the seepage. Paint - The rear quarters, halo and bumper cover have been sprayed separate from the rest of the car due to the natureof the project and budget that did not allow for a full body respray. A casual observer would not notice. The Corvette Decalaround the back-up camera conceals some cracks in the paint around the back-up cameraA few blemishes here and there can be seen up close.See video for a close-up look at the paint.With all that said, this car gets a compliment nearly every time it's taken out. It's a nice car. Tires - The tires and wheels were purchased new by a prior owner in 2007 and installed on the (VIN 120749) carthat became the parts car for this restoration. That car sat indoors for most of those years. The tires are in greatcondition with deep tread and show no signs of cracking or rot. However, due to age, the tires should be replacedeven though they show no signs of needing replacement. (DATE CODE 2906) Radio bezel defect - The center plastic dash bezel has damage along the bottom between the radio and climate controls.It is barely noticeable when the stereo face plate is in place (see video). Driver side floor mat does not fit very well. Cruise control works intermittently. Seller has nothing to hide and encourages potential buyers to ask any and all questions. This is a very nice restored car that can be driven around and enjoyed without the worries associated with a "perfect car".
