1971 Chevrolet Camaro SS Rally Sport Pro Street with 396/Turbo 400
For sale by original owner (bought new in 1971), built into pro-street in late 80s/early 90s. Owner lost interest near completion and moved on to other projects. Car then sat in storage for many years. Car recently brought out of storage, gone over and tuned. This Camaro is in nice condition. It was driven 15 miles the other day without any problems. Clear Title. Also can supply short video of vehicle running. It has 155,000 miles on the car (my mother's daily driver), but about 20 miles since it was built.
Equipped with-396 Cubic Inch Engine, professionally rebuilt w/650cfm Holly carburetor, Edelbrock dual plane intake, street/strip cam, Pete Jackson gear drive, electric cooling fan, MSD ignition-Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission w/ trans cooler, professionally rebuilt-Narrowed Ford 9" rear, 3:70 open differential w/ disk brakes-Interior is in nice condition with brand new seats and lower door panels. Dash, carpet and headliner in nice condition.-Battery and fuel cell in trunk-Fiberglass 4" cowl on factory steel hood-Centerline Drag Lite wheels on Mickey Thompson tires-6 point roll cage
There are some minor issues that could be corrected in a couple weekends in your garage.-Transmission pan gasket may need replacement.-Small leak from carburetor accelerator pump diaphram (gasket)-2.5" crack in fiberglass where scoop was molded to hood (see picture)-carpeting and rear inner trim panels included to finish back seat area-Better mounting of under hood oil pressure gauge (in picture, oil pressure between 60-65 psi at idle)

-found and will include a brand new limited slip for the Ford 9" rear.-also have some original paperwork and owners manual to go with the car-Car is an original SS 350 RS that my father purchased new when he worked for GM. It was first used at his plant for quality control tests (gear & axle plant) before he purchased it.-The crack at the hood/scoop seam would be easily covered (after repair) by SS/Z28 stripes if you chose to add them.-The nose piece is an original GM endurance part, not aftermarket fiberglass.
