1962 Chevy C10 Longbed: Great Condition
1962 Chevrolet C-10
My grandfather bought this truck new in 1962. He lived in a small town in central Utah. The truck was parked, but maintained from the late 1970's to 1991, when he gave it to me. I believe the truck had roughly 70,000 miles on it when I took it to Tucson, AZ in 1991. The truck has been in Tucson since that time. It currently has 116,500 miles on the original engine. I switched out the oil bath air filter in the early 2000's. The truck was parked from 2009 until this month (September 2017). I had my mechanic get the truck in great running condition. We had to replace the carburetor, master cylinder, the gas tank and put new tires on her. She has a few minor nicks here and there, but has never been in an accident. My grandfather added the air-conditioning unit in the 1970s and it worked when I drove the truck in the early 2000s, but I did not have it serviced this time around. I had the original bumpers chromed in 2005. The rest of the truck is in its original condition. It runs great.
