1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS

For your consideration I am offering at auction a beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 350 4speed.

This classic beauty is "The Real Deal"! Starting with all original sheet metal to its "Born With" matching number drive-train this Camaro SS is quite a find. How many 50 year old muscle cars can hold that claim?I will describe this car in detail so please read completely.

I am a lifetime classic car enthusiast / collector / restorer. My preference is for "honest", solid, high end driver quality classics. No junk, no 100 point trailer queens. That being said this Camaro SS will be a contender at the local car show and a serious head turner at any cruise night! It is an absolute joy to drive, thumbs up from everyone.

A real SS 350, 295hp small block. Muncie M-21 4 speed with correct Hurst shifter, 3:73 12 bolt posi-traction rear end.Other options include Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Center console with factory gauges and tachometer. A modern JVC AM/FM/CD stereo has been neatly installed in the dash along with a pair of high-end Pioneer speakers in the rear deck. Sounds great!

The body is amazingly straight, all original sheet-metal including floors and trunk pan. Panel alignment is superb, all body lines are crisp. Hood, trunk lid and doors close smooth and easy. It has been professionally refinished in its correct Paint code "U" Lemans Blue, base/clear coat. Sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. Excellent condition, no door dings or scratches. A very few insignificant chips have been touched up. All bright work is excellent, chrome bumpers are straight and mirror like. Glass is all goo, no cracks, both door windows have a minor up/down scuff.

The black vinyl interior is excellent! No dash cracks, no carpet wear, no worn or torn upholstery. Everything works except the clock, (when did they?) All dash light, signals, gauges, key buzzer, courtesy lights work as new. Even the emergency brake warning light still flashes! All seat belts, shoulder harnesses are excellent. Emergency brake works as it should. All exterior lights, signals work perfect including shifter activated reverse lights! It rides on the correct "FW" code 15"X7" Rally wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A's. The trunk is dry and immaculate with correct hounds tooth mat, complete jack and correct FW code 15"X7" Rally Wheel spare with cover. This Camaro hasbeen VERY well detailed. Take it home and go cruising!

Mechanicall, this Camaro is 100%+! The matching # 350 has been recently professionally rebuilt . A few tasteful performance modifications were performed, typical for a car of this caliber. A slightly more aggressive hydraulic camshaft, a Weiand dual-plane intake manifold, a Holley 650 CFM vacuum secondary carb with electric choke, Holley hi-volume chrome mechanical fuel pump, HEI distributor with ACCEL coil and 7MM premium wires. Ceramic coated headers with 2 ½" Flow-Master

exhaust, with correct tailpipes exiting behind rear wheels. This combination runs like a Swiss watch and has a sweet exhaust tone! It starts immediately, idles perfect and is VERY responsive! It is a BLAST to drive! Runs cool,on hot days with strong oil pressure. The clutch is perfect, smooth and positive. The Muncie trans is quiet and shifts with ease. All brake and suspension components are new or rebuilt. Not a squeak or rattle. Totally dry underneath, no leaks! I was told that all mechanical work was performed within the past 2K miles. I have no receipts, but I believe what I see and feel. This car is TIGHT! I have had the valve covers off and inside is immaculate! All fluids and filters are fresh. Needs NOTHING!

To sum up, this Beautiful 68' Camaro SS is a true find. I cannot stress enough the value of a 50 year old muscle car with its born with drive train and sheet metal. I have taken it on a couple of 100 mile trips with complete confidence and would drive it anywhere. Only parting with this beauty because I am aligning for retirement soon and the wife says I need to thin the herd! The value of all muscle era cars is rising faster than any other investment. First generation F-bodies are at the top of this list. And this is an investment that you can enjoy with pride as it grows in value! I have set a very reasonable reserve for a classic of this level. Not many left this nice, don't miss out, BID NOW!
