1963 Chevrolet Impala SS

New rebuilt clutch (maybe 100 miles or so) and linkage. Rebuilt engine under 500 miles (as I was told at purchase. It did have the break in oil in it still upon my purchase). Dash restored so gauges all now working again. New glass packs. Body almost completely rust free on exterior. Some rust in trunk floor. New rims and tires. Black front seats and carpet. Rear seat is grey plush. Was like that when I bought it. Chrome framed windows, dual rear antennas. Original stereo & dash intact - no holes cut for modern deck. New gas tank and new sending unit. New speedometer cable and temp sending unit installed. New water pump, new starter. 327/300 HP SS version of the 327. When clutch was rebuilt was confirmed 168 tooth flywheel and 11 inch clutch plate. So def not the 250 HP version. When we bought we did not require numbers matching info and do not know the answers to all of those type questions. The seller we bought from was far less than honest - tried to hide things rather than disclose things. So to be completely transparent I'll do my best to walk through any questions. I've been through the car quite a bit and would rather tell you what I know and can show you as fact rather than repeat anything from the less than honest seller we dealt with. Have a file in the car with the various parts and repair receipts, etc. The 63 corvette also had the 327 that year. In that car it was tuned over 400HP. So there is definitely a lot that can be done to make this fast car much faster (We had been looking to add cold air intake can buy on eBay, upgrade the intake manifold and like I said already has new exhaust. Do that stuff, then maybe add MSD and a bigger 4 barrel and it will be screaming! . 4 speed muncie and Hurst shifter. As it sits now it can spin through first and second gear. Does not have A/C but does have plenty of room and the extra spot on lower pulley to add aftermarket or stock A/C. Champion radiator. I think fan shroud covering the fan a bit too much. I'm healing from a fairly serious surgery and we thought this may be a good way to try to get back to myself 100% but doing everything on my own aside from the clutch is proving to me too much too fast for me. And for us, a large part of the interest was to go through it with my son ourselves. Not have someone else do it for us. For us, it that takes the fun out of why we bought it. Most of underside of car has been painted as well as engine bay. Was that way when we bought it. Very begrudgingly hate to sell it. But it is too soon for me and probably even too soon for my son to learn father to son. As I did. Not so sure the kids these days share the appreciation the generations before them had for our 60's muscle!!! Over the years I've had a 68 Chevrolet, 68 Catalina convertible & a 62 galaxie 500... this one BY FAR is the coolest, fastest and most of all by far the most head turning car I've ever had. The most fun of them all for sure. finding one with a stick is not easy. And it it's a big part of what makes it Fun. Everywhere I go in it people will honk, roll down there window, come up and ask about it almost every time I pull up and park anywhere. even had a few trying to buy it from me right when we got it. We know we are very close to finishing and leaving a lot of money on the table selling now. But it's not worth a setback for my injury/ surgery. Like I said we not hard up for money or anything. The truth is my better half prefers we wait until I'm 100% able and we do a 68 Chevelle or 442 anyway. I'm Bobby can reach me at 727-560-0458.
