1963 Chevrolet Corvair

You are bidding on a nice original 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza convertible. Being an original California car it is at an advantage over most as it is not a rust bucket! Faded paint yes. The only mentionable rust spots I could find are two dime size spots on the passenger door. It runs and drives smoothly. Rebuilt carbs, new alternator, new distributor, new fuel pump, gas tank was drained and cleaned and car was always properly maintained. I tried to capture the cleanliness of the undercarriage as to show that this is a well worthwhile Corvair to restore. New battery. Newer Cooper Cobra tires. Interior is very nice including the carpet. Why am I only asking 5500.00? because it needs some basic attention as follows.Needs a choke for the dual carbs installed although It starts and runs just fine. Missing the handle for the 2 speed powerglide lever on the dash. Although it shifts fine as it is. The drivers side mirror I do have but it needs to be put back on. Doors open and close just fine but the drivers side door has some play/slight sag and I would recommend changing the door pins(new ones included). The top is nice but over the years a couple of bolts have fallen out of the ribs and need to be replaced. Convertible tops are not my forte and it appears to be an easy fix. The Turn signal lever works but the signals aren't responding. I think it needs a cleaning in the lever contacts. I would re paint the car although it looks presentable as it is. It is an extremely straight car. The rear engine compartment logo became brittle and needs replaced. It does not smoke or have blow by. It is a great original survivor and has a clean California title. Pick up only in the Long Beach, California area. Please message me with any questions. Good Luck!
